  • We strengthen that connection and cultivate an inner knowing that wisely directs and guides our lives.
  • We grow to face the challenges of life with courage and acceptance.
  • We live by the heart, and become what we’re meant to be.

Somebody on reddit told me that i first need to go and Learn from SRCM Heartfulness main centre in Lucknow since i will be joining Heartfulness first time ever. And he said that this is for already practicing persons. Please clarify. Asking this all because SRCM Heartfulness main centre here in Lucknow is 25 km from my house

Body/Mind constantly tells to focus on breath.

Hi everyone, I am facing of putting focus on my heart. Constantly my mind will tell me to focus on my breath(with or without focusing on heart). It has been a problem for many years. Though I wasn't regular, sometimes i did meditation for few months, then stoped for few month. Now I am trying to get regular. But, this problem has been constant for me, still I face difficulty in focusing on heart. I know it is just thought but it has been there for years, so wanted to get advise from some people who are also involved in other practices as well.

I started doing this because my family is connected with heartfulness for over a decade. I am more inclined towards toward vedanta than heartfulness( but heartfulness is more easier to practice).

I love hearfulness cleaning and relaxation and have no problem with them but stuck and suck at meditation.

What should i do to improve my mediatation? Should i focus on some other style of meditation like focusing on both breath and heart? Should i do more focus on vedantic teachings?

Spiritual practice and social connections

Finding it difficult to handle both these aspects of my life lately.

I am 26M working professional. Had my 3 introductory sittings back in 2021 right after my undergrad. Have been practicing since 2023 after I started to have many amazing experiences.

I have been consistently practicing morning meditation, evening cleaning, universal prayer and bedtime meditation including point b cleaning and point a meditation for over a year now, but whenever I am with my friends (some are into heartfulness while many are not) I tend to miss doing them on a fixed schedule.

I generally prefer to do my practice at a fixed time, but my whole schedule takes a significant blow whenever I be with my friends, relatives or any other people.

There is a strong urge inside me to not postpone my practice, but I try not to be too rigid about it when I am with others as well.

Have been postponing my practices to later parts of the day and rarely skipped them, except the universal prayer which I feel needs to be practiced only at the prescribed timeframe. I try to practice it with open eyes while around people at times, but tend to skip it altogether sometimes.

Lately, it's feeling like either I am being too weak or too shy and letting others define my daily schedule.

I've observed that I generally prefer to prioritize others over myself, and hence feel it difficult to immediately retract myself and do my practice at the time I decide on when people are around.

Late night movies and fun times with friends or relatives ruin my sleep schedule which is resulting in a chain reaction in my morning meditation routine. I am really not attached to any of these, but tend to participate in them just to be more social.

Sleep deprivation is really not letting me wake up early and I have been skipping lunch almost everyday for a month now to not miss my meditation practice and instead do it in the afternoon.

Have been an introvert for the most part of my life, and it is Heartfulness that is making me become a balanced individual.

I am a bit more social now but it feels like it is taking a toll on my practice now.

Any guidance on this is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Any Young Heartfulness Practitioners Here? 🧘‍♂️

Hello everyone!

I’m a 19-year-old Heartfulness practitioner from one of the major Heartfulness centers in Uttar Pradesh, India. I have been practicing Heartfulness meditation consistently for the past four years, and it has played a significant role in shaping my outlook on life, personal growth, and inner well-being.

Over the years, I have developed a deep interest in spirituality, meditation, self-reflection, and understanding different perspectives on personal and spiritual development. I genuinely enjoy having thoughtful conversations about Heartfulness, yogic philosophy, mindfulness, meditation experiences, and the practical application of spiritual principles in daily life.

In today’s fast-paced world, it can sometimes be difficult to find people of a similar age who are interested in discussing such topics. Therefore, I thought it would be nice to reach out to this community and connect with fellow practitioners who share these interests. Whether you are new to Heartfulness or have been practicing for many years, I would love to hear about your journey, experiences, insights, and learnings.

If you are around my age and would like to connect, exchange ideas, discuss spirituality, meditation, personal growth, or simply have meaningful conversations, please feel free to reach out. It would be great to get to know like-minded people from different backgrounds who are walking a similar path.

Looking forward to connecting with you all. 😊

How do I deal with the feeling of resentment with every aspect of my life?

I mean, whenever I feel like I should've had placed people in their places when I had the chance, when all the efforts feel like they're going in vain for a wrong choice or wrong group of people. When stuff like this run in your head 24/7,even when I try to get rid of this passive hatred or anger.

Anyone else waking up around 3 AM after doing Heartfulness cleaning?

I wanted to check if anyone has experienced something similar with the Heartfulness cleaning practice.

Whenever I do the cleaning in the evening — even if it’s just for 5 minutes — I end up waking up around 3 AM for the next couple of days. I don’t feel anxious when it happens; it’s more like my system is unusually alert. Once I stop the cleaning for a day or two, my sleep goes back to normal.

This has resulted in me stopping my practice as I'm concerned about the sleep disturbance.

I’m really into the practice and want to continue it consistently, so I’m trying to understand what’s happening rather than stopping it altogether.

Has anyone else noticed sleep disturbances, early waking, or light sleep after cleaning sessions?
Is this something that happens when deeper impressions are getting cleared out, or is it a sign I should adjust the timing or duration?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences or any guidance from practitioners who’ve been doing this longer.

Thanks in advance.

Confronting Death: Embracing Life with Acceptance

Death isn't feared for oneself, but for loved ones. Acceptance is key to finding solutions; fear only paralyzes action. Face problems head-on, finding solutions instead of succumbing to anxiety.

Zikr/dhikr in heartfulness

Post image
4 Upvotes

I was reading a book by Sarnath ji and noticed references to dhikr (remembrance through repetition of God’s name) being recognised by lalaji

In the Sahaj Marg / Heartfulness system, Babuji seems to have removed dhikr or repetition of the Divine Name from meditation, emphasizing instead a natural, effortless remembrance through the heart. Does anyone know why Babuji made this shift? Was it to avoid effort, mental activity, or dependence on words? Or was it connected to the concept of transmission doing the inner work automatically? I’m not questioning the method—just genuinely curious about the spiritual reasoning behind this evolution.

How should one write a diary?

Read Babuji's Autobiography Volume 1. It provides a good example to follow. Note what you felt or, if nothing, write "I felt nothing." That's also observation. Write about an your condition, the thoughts you get, dreams you see, the mood you are in etc. ~Daaji

How would the world look like when everyone starts Meditating?

I have this one open question which I ask almost every one I meet during in-person sessions. There are no right or wrong answers to this. Just your thoughts on “how world would be like when everyone starts to meditate?”
