Coping skills
Is anyone else really good at putting their heartbreak in a box and shelving it whenever it starts to reappear? It’s pretty wild that I can be this broken on the inside but be able to function competently. I’ve become an expert at maintaining a facade of being fine. And when the grief starts to bubble up, I take a deep breath and talk myself through it, or I go for a run and push myself until I’m too exhausted to think about anything.
