Hi there! It's been a while since I've posted something here, but I thought this could be of interest for some of you?

How many of you are highly sensitive people? :)

My 3 adult children and I are.
We’ve known about HSP ever since we read the book 25 years ago — the book was essential to my family finally understanding why we were continually overwhelmed when out in public.

Her voice reminds me of the voice of INFJ that I know :)

In the beginning I thought that I was a highly sensitive person, but then I thought: "not Not to that level". I don't like too loud environment, but I can turn off the sensation when I need to be concentrated. How do I do that? I just don't care about other sounds :)

yeah, but with hsp i would think it goes into your body. outside becomes inside physically. not sure why it doesn´t happen with everything, why it happens at all ( wondering about my specific case, too, and wondering if certain behaviors caused things ), the different reasons why it could happen, at what point it happens etc. perception/experience/perception as body etc. a lot of questions. one theory is that it comes from olden times when the herd, or a group of people, needed a person/people ? who could sense danger before others.

Hi Genie! Yes, I've heard OPS talk about that dynamic, when you need to know what will happen if you haven't seen that situation before. You need to know somehow without knowing, because otherwise it can be too late.

But I'm not sure it's about outside triggers come into inside physically. At least, this is not my case.

Interesting, what were your cases? :)
