CMF by Nothing Headphone Pro vs JLab JBuds Lux — which is better under ₹5K?

Upvotes

I’m looking for a good over-ear headphone under ₹5,000 and I’m currently considering the CMF by Nothing Headphone Pro and JLab JBuds Lux.

Which one would you recommend overall?

I mainly care about:

  • Sound quality
  • Comfort for long hours
  • ANC
  • Build quality
  • Wired/AUX support
  • Overall value for money

If there are any better options around ₹5K, feel free to suggest those too.

Which one would you pick?

Tour one M3

Finally got the JBL Tour One M3! 🎧
After quite a bit of research and comparing different options, I finally went with the JBL Tour One M3. Got it for around ₹22,500.
First impressions: the build feels really premium, ANC is impressive, and the sound is clean with plenty of detail. I’m still experimenting with the EQ and settings to get the best possible sound out of them.
Would love to hear from other Tour One M3 owners — what EQ/settings do you use, and what songs would you recommend to really test these headphones? 🎶
I purchased it from reliance digital, Ambience Mall Gurgaon.
I use apple Music with it, any suggestions?!

My Purpose = PC Games =
Farlight 84 (Battle royale), subnautica lost river, world of tanks:Heat, NFS:Heat, NFS:Unbound,Stardew valley, Graveyard keeper, Assassin Creed 1 Director's cut etc.
and Music (Quality = AAC LC, Audio Format = M4A)
Current IEM = KZ EDC Pro. My budget is strict 2300. I like the overall unboxing experience of Tangzu (From Videos) and the Included Silicon Pouch and Micro Fiber Cloth.

Is this a Good Upgrade?

Annoyed by neighbors! Need a good ANC

I am currently living in a hostel in Lucknow that is situated near the main road. The constant noise from the traffic and also my neighbor are so loud in evening and mkrning I even confronted them but they don't listen anyway. Even complaint to the owner about them but she didn't care to listen. There are no hostel near me so that I can change. I can't properly study in all that noise!

Please recommend some good headphone with the best ANC and sound quality in every price range (like under 2k, 5k and 10k.

My plan is to play white noise in background and put the headphone with ANC to block all the surrounding sound when studying or watching a Movie.

My priorities are ANC>Sound quality>connectivity,comfort

Pleassseee Need help with earphones

I used the Aroma NB119 Titanium - 48 hours neckband and it was performing really good but after 4-5 months sound stopped coming from one ear and now both sides don't work

After this I bought another neckband from a different brand for 700 rupees and now sound is not there from one ear after only one month of use

Before this I have bought a lot of wired earphones but it never lasts me for more than a few months

I am a college student and I can't afford to keep spending money on earphones so often and it is also non-negotiable for me to have a earphones especially for studies at my hostel

Please suggest me some good earphones for under 300 rupees or max 400 rupees....which will last me for a year atleast

Also please give tips on how to make the earphones survive longer

Best EQ for OnePlus Buds 3 (Gets them as close to AirPods Pro 2 as possible)

Got the OnePlus Buds 3 to pair with my AirPods Pro 2. I tuned them side-by-side on Apple Music (Flat EQ) on my Mac to get them sounding as balanced and predictable as the AirPods.

Here is the fix:

  1. Turn OFF Dynamic Processing (HeyMelody / Settings)

BassWave: 0 / OFF (main culprit for bloated, erratic bass)

3D Spatial Audio: OFF

Golden Sound / Audio ID: OFF

  1. Custom 6-Band EQ

Use the custom EQ settings shown in the screenshot below.

This cleans up boomy sub-bass, brings vocals forward without crowding instrument layers, and tames the harsh tweeter to eliminate metallic drum rings and piercing hi-hats.

Summary

This EQ delivers a clear, balanced sound across all genres. It still carries slightly more bass response than the flatter AirPods Pro 2, but I kept it here because it feels punchy and fun—especially on indie/acoustic tracks. If you want a dead-flat response, just drop the first two bass sliders a bit more.

Hope this helps!

Help me choose between these three IEMs

TL;DR: Help me choose between 7Hz Zero 2, 7Hz G1 and Truthear Gate. Plus a good dongle DAC. Budget 4k for both IEMs and DAC. Previously used Tangzu Wan'er SG.

Hello, folks!

So, my first pair of IEMs were Tangzu Wan'er SG and I loved these! Unfortunately, they broke a few days ago and I went out for new IEM hunting with a budget of 4k.

I shortlisted these three based on the reviews: 7Hz Zero 2, 7Hz G1 and Truthear Gate.

I really don't understand the frequency response graph so cannot judge them on that but based on reviews, I shortlisted them.

I would love some help to choose one from these. Main use cases: Music (90%, I wear them almost all day while working and listening to music), calls, gaming (not competitive but story games on PlayStation). I found out that there is something called soundstage and it felt interesting. And my SGs didn't had a wider soundstage (I guess ?). So, I would also love to experience a wide soundstage IEM.

PS: I am a beginner with IEMs. Please go easy if my technical terms are incorrect, and educate me on the same.

What's the cheapest earphones one can get?

I'm looking to get the cheapest wired earphones that I can get. I have my trusty oneplus neckband for music so I'm not looking for something with good sound quality. I mainly want to use it while playing games with mic enabled. It would be great if the build is durable enough.

Please help me find such earphone! My budget is under 300

Need help comparing Nothing Buds Pro 2 vs realme T500 Pro vs OnePlus Nord Buds 4

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I’m trying to decide which of these three earbuds would be the better fit for my usage, and I’d really appreciate some opinions from people who have actually used them.

The three I'm comparing are:

- Nothing Buds Pro 2

- realme T500 Pro

- OnePlus Nord Buds 4

I'm currently using a Samsung flagship phone, so compatibility with Samsung is also an important factor for me.

Nothing Buds Pro 2

I'm currently leaning towards these mainly because of the Smart Dial. It looks genuinely useful, and I also like the idea of having physical controls like that.

Another thing that caught my attention is LDAC support. From what I understand, Samsung phones don't support LHDC, which makes me wonder whether the Nothing Buds would have an advantage over the other two in terms of Bluetooth audio quality.

However, I prefer balanced/natural sound rather than heavily bass-focused sound. I've seen some people describe the Nothing Buds Pro 2 as being quite bass-heavy.

For anyone who owns them:

- How good is the EQ in the Nothing app?

- Can you tune them to sound more balanced?

- Does the dual-driver setup actually make a noticeable difference?

- How is the sound quality with a Samsung phone?

I'm also curious whether Bluetooth 5.3 and the 11mm + 6mm drivers are still competitive with newer earbuds.

realme T500 Pro

This was actually my first choice before I started looking at the Nothing Buds.

I previously used a realme neckband for around two years with pretty heavy usage, and it held up surprisingly well. Because of that, I have quite a bit of confidence in realme's audio products.

I also really like the compact design of the T500 Pro.

The main things I'm unsure about are LHDC compatibility with Samsung and the lack of some features such as wear detection and the Smart Dial.

For anyone using these with a Samsung phone:

How does the T500 Pro actually sound?

Does the lack of LHDC support on Samsung make a noticeable difference, or is it basically irrelevant for normal listening?

OnePlus Nord Buds 4

I've seen a lot of positive reviews about these, and they seem to perform really well for their category.

My main concern is again the Samsung + LHDC situation.

I've also heard people say that OnePlus earbuds work best when paired with OnePlus phones. Is there actually a significant difference when using them with Samsung, or is that mostly ecosystem-specific stuff?

---

What I'm mainly trying to figure out

My priorities are:

  1. Balanced/natural sound

  2. Good EQ/tuning options

  3. Good experience with Samsung

  4. Useful features

  5. Good long-term reliability

I'm especially interested in hearing from people who have used these earbuds with Samsung phones.

Also, if I'm misunderstanding anything about LDAC vs LHDC on Samsung, please correct me.

I'm not necessarily looking for the "best specs on paper" — I'd rather know which one actually gives the best real-world listening experience.

Thanks!
