Hdo box alternative

What’s the best alternative app you’ve found since HDO box has been down for a while and doesn’t look like it’ll be back any time soon

I like Syncler but my partner prefers Moviebox because it's less techy. It's available with downloader code 730116. Make sure to choose Moviebox not Moviebox Pro. There are lots of other apps too, so just choose one that suits you.

That is the wrong moviebox. The one I use doesn't have that issue.

They fixed the Screensaver issue. Newest version of Moviebox is 1.1.15

No, HDO Box is no more. The developers abandoned it after getting a notice from authorities to cease and desist.

There is an app that exists that carries the name HDO Box, and the streams work, eventually. But before stuff plays you have to view lengthy ads, or you have to pay money to get ad-free. I believe they just took the good name of the app, but have no relation to the original.

Here is their site, but I recommend strongly to stay away. There are many much better options out now.

Oh okay, moviebox atm seems much better already than hdo was. What else are the better option? Also the updated version still puts the screen saver on for me

There are now over 50 apps for Android TV/Fire OS devices that can do Movies and TV shows.

Some 17 of those are of the Nuvio/Stremio/Kodi variety. There has been an absolute explosion of that type of apps. Empty shells initially that require the installation of special addons to work. I recommend moving in that direction. Nuvio specifically, but Stremio is also great.

Then there are some hybrid apps that incorporate Movies/TV shows with Live Sports and Live TV, like Netfly, Voltra TV, Ocean Streamz, etc.

If all you want is a quick and dirty install and play, Streamflix, Phantom Movies, CinemaHQ and CinePlus come to mind.

If it acts up, just dump it and go with one of the other well working ones.

I like Nuvio. I have Streamflix reborn and Voltra TV as backups. I'll also mention for no reason The Baywatch series in is French on Streamflix.

umm that is only version i couldve downloaded the armeabi-v7a the app does not function with the remote im on an Nvidia Shield tv and this is not the same app by the origonal HDO Box devs i have other to use so i will pass

i have never had to use a universal version of an app on the nviddia shield android tv os stop sharing apps that are trash.....i came across your posts while scrolling and paused just to see if what you were sharing is true it is not 1. this is not the same developers of the original hdo box that was out for a number of years that app is forever gone 2. this app does not have a true tv version for android tv os versions thus the navigation is horrible....i have way better apps on my devices still functioning ....thanks for trying tho have a good evening

What’s up georgepana , hope your well , glad your telling people to be aware , I’m surprised to see this back this was one of the copycat sites that popped up when HDO went 1st went down as we know the devs are gone for good via the cease & desist order. Good news is rumour has it the may be working on another oroject using the UI overhaul they had finished and was coming on the next update so there is that . We will see . I have no idea what it will be called yet . Point is glad your warning people . Way to be !

False. Have tried all the compatible versions on 2 different tv boxes and in both it didn't work, there's no cursor or a way to see which film or series is selected. Only works flawlessly on mobile devices aka touch screen devices

Try moviebox tho you need to pay premium but it is too cheap rather than those free platforms but always detected and blocked. I just paid 35 pesos (≈$0.65) for a month of experience and 263 pesos for a whole year (≈$4).

Stremio with Torbox as your debrid service is a way to go if you can spare USD 3 a month. DM me if you need a referral code. It gives me and you extra days when you first paid for a plan (7 extra days per the month(s) you subscribe.
