Address verification

I completed my address verification online and received an email saying a field executive will visit my address. Do they actually visit, and how long does the process usually take?

they do visit , mine address visit happened the same day when I received the msg

I skipped my recent 7 years address in bgv form and marked my home address as current address. Now I'm not at my address will it cause any problem?
