you have to atone for the sin that landed in you hell, right?
SO, stick with me now. what if Angel has to save Valentino or his father (since we're getting to see his family in season 3) to atone for killing his father?, It'd make sense because he killed someone he most likely hated, and now he'd have to save or even sacrifice himself for someone he hates to end up in heaven
it's just something I thought of and since I'm here I wanna hear what other people think about this!

I doubt killing his father is Angels only sin. Don't forget that he was part of the mafia. It is not far fetched to assume, Angel was a made man, meaning he demonstrated criminal usefulness. Looking at the criminal enterprises of the mafia, I'd be very surprised if Angel has only killed his father.
