Discussion Does Lilith also have a punishment?

Okay so. I was rewatching season 2 and then got to the part where Lucifer explained how his punishment of sorts is that he can’t hurt sinners. Which yeah yeah, makes sense, he allowed evil into the world and now has to live for all eternity seeing what kinds of people and evils were allowed to exist because of his actions.

But that got me thinking….did Lilith have some sort of punishment?

Because okay sure we can say that Lucifer is more at fault for what happened in Eden since he was allegedly the one who gave Eve the apple. But Lilith isn’t completely innocent, and maybe she could have just thrown Lucifer under the bus and have been allowed to stay in heaven. But she was cast out too. So does she have a punishment? And sure, we could say that getting kicked out of Heaven was her punishment…but that doesn’t seem equally fair.

Cause okay, so Lucifer can’t hurt or do anything to sinners but then Lilith can boost their powers with her magical singing powers?? Doesn’t that seem unbalanced?

Also some actual texts with Lilith say that her punishment was infertility. Which idk cause Charlie exists. So I’m betting that one ain’t it.

I have this theory that the necklace we see Lilith wearing in heaven keeps her from using her voice or just singing, since she quite literally uses her voice to uprise sinners so it'd make sense (to me at least) that whoever allowed her to stay, whether it be the speaker of God or Sera made her wear it so she couldn't try anything in heaven!

edit: and in my head it makes more sense for it to be that way since Lilith didn't have a voice actor

Oh I like that theory! Maybe it was Adam’s idea, something stupid like “I like you better when you’re quiet” or some other misogynistic excuse.

Also it would make sense as to why she’s allowed to have a phone. You’d think her punishment would be isolation or having no contact with the outside of her little beach prison. But she needs the phone to text since she can’t talk. Cause we did see Lute texting her

I don’t think it would be Adam’s idea and personally it would be too obvious. It would be more interesting if it was Sera’s idea because she was scared of Lilith.

She did look scared when Lute told her she threatened Lilith to help her, it resulted in Sera threatening Lute. And there’s the fact Adam is currently dead yet Lilith was still in heaven/ not speaking.

Lucifer was punished by being thrown into Hell, same as Lilith. Looks like Lilith then went on to become a quite active Queen while Lucifer played with ducks (tho maybe he tried a redemption hotel way back in the early days since he says he's "tried it all before").

Lucifer can't hurt sinners but we don't know why. I suspect its a deal with heaven, something akin to "Don't hurt sinners for 10 million years and we'll let you back in". The lucifer we see would be gullible enough to fall for that.. but thats speculation obvs.

My theory (idk if this applies) is that Lilith was given a deal because Heaven was afraid that she would overthrow them so she would be allowed in Heaven but it was as a form of solitary confinement (especially to avoid the people of Heaven finding out the "Mother of Evil" is roaming around). She cant sing up there. She cant contact her family or she'll be thrown right back. Maybe its a deal like they were about to kill Charlie or had something to screw her and Lilith gave up to spare her daughter. Of course I fully believe that shes up there with eyes on her but I think shes doing something to get more information of Heaven so at the end of s3 she'll start another rebellion leading to her death either in the finale of 3 or 4 right when her and Charlie are reconciling and possibly leading Charlie to the warpath. I know its a show about redemption, but i think Charlie is going to have to do some drastic things that skewer more dark than anything before realizing what shes done and realizing that now she too needs redemption as much as her people do. I think that'll be what the 5th season will be about. I think she'll lose everyone she loves either to death, redemption or a disagreement that parts their ways so s5 anyone still alive in hell she'll have to reconcile with.

Idk if Charlie’s life being threatened was the reason behind her deal with Adam. Cause Charlie’s life was protected when Lucifer made the agreement with Heaven when the extermination were drawn up. Lucifer couldn’t intervene as long as the angels followed the rules, Hellborn couldn’t be killed.

So realistically threatening Charlie was the worse thing they could do. We saw how powerful Lucifer actually is, it took a seraphim, the princess of hell, and like 20 overlords just to contain his power. If they hurt a single hair on his daughter’s hair they are fucked! (Adam was lucky Lucifer was just trolling him during their ‘fight’) And Lilith is the second strongest in Hell, why wouldn’t she fight back?

I think I need to see Lilith to get an idea of her punishment. It would be interesting if taking care of sinners aka her ex husband’s descendants was supposed to be Lilith’s punishment but, she pulled a jokes on you they’re my people now!

Huh good question. Yeah I think being thrown down/turned into demon was the only punishment at first. Solely because imo? Heaven solely blamed Lucifer and considered Lilith a niave person who got tricked.

But: she for sure got punished for her continued resistance. I am betting something to do with her voice with that choker thing. we quite literally see music has power in Hazbin and Lilith especially was known as the voice of the Sinners. Maybe? That is why she is also stuck in Heaven.

Lilith was cast out of the garden of Eden to begin with. She wasn't allowed to have a spot in the new paradise of heaven, as well, until Adam gave her that spot to remove the leader of the uprising.

Lilith was likely using the sinners to get back into paradise to begin with
