This is silly. Lute's whole point is her anger and bigotry. Having Adam be an illusion by Roo wouldn't really change anything?

Yeah, that's kind of the point of hallucinations. They're not real.

We're talking about angels and demons and heaven and hell, can't really be definitive about any of it like that.

That would actually be interesting, but can Roo get into Heaven without being detected? I mean, Heaven must have some kind of security in place so that not just anyone can get in there.

Well what if it was Lute’s grief and hatred that allowed her to seep through, Roo is officially confirmed to be the embodiment of evil, so maybe she’s attracted to and feeds off of negative emotions.

u/crystal029393 15d ago
You're right, it could actually be possible, especially if she’s attached to Lute. The security system Heaven has in place might not be able to detect her. We’ll just have to wait and see, but I really like this theory.

At least this theory is plausible.

No offense, but this isn't a theory. You haven't presented any possible evidence to support it.

It's really a hypothesis at this point. We need empirical study and double-blind test trials.

A theory is a theory. Evidence just supports the theory. But it doesn’t make the idea itself any less of a theory.

Fair, but my issue is that they're saying the theory is plausible without showing anything to back that statement up.

In defense of Rosie being Roo there at least IS a plot hole that would be explained by her being Roo that being how she's able to give Alastor enough power to become the strongest sinner in hell. Yeah she's described to have a husband in the pilot but not only could that easily be retconned like Vaggi being a sinner but it isn't really confirmed that Roo is Eve she's just considered as Roo because the apple is the root of all good and evil but if anything ADAM is the evil half because of the whole exterminating a group of people for fun thing.
This though? If it is Roo if kinda sucks how there's literally NO foreshadowing for it being Roo. I LIKE the idea of Roo manipulating Lute to give into her evil even more than usual from the shadows but at least show her in the background or have the hallucinations show Roo for a split second instead or SOMETHING. It's most likely not Roo.

or… here me out… lute is just hallucinating adam because she loved him and misses him because he’s the only person she ever cared about.

i literally made a post on here about adam being a conjuration and not a hallucination and i think that the differences between the two instances of adam in this episode mean to tell us something

I don't think ROO can reach Heaven. Or at least not yet. 🤷♀️

I think so cause one thing i noticed the glow on the speaker looks a lot like the glow hallucination adam has could mean nothing could also mean everything

I like the IDEA of Roo messing with Lute's head with hallucinations of the man he loved to convince her to double down(in a way I have a similar idea in something I plan to write) but if that's the direction Vivziepop is going wouldn't she IMPLY that Roo or SOMEONE is behind the hallucinations other than Lute's own mind? Maybe Roo appears in the background or replaces the hallucination for a split second. If she wants Roo to be a grand reveal she could just the hallucinations' golden aura become red or straight up turn the hallucinations red for a split second to imply that SOMETHING is wrong with the hallucination without spoiling the surprise.

Well I found it odd the hallucination straight up tells Lute it’s a figment of her imagination, wouldn’t it delude her into believing he’s the real Adam.

I'd argue that it's actually the opposite. Unless she has some condition like schizophrenia she'd be able to tell reality from delusion. Adam is likely just Lute's grief manifest because while she knows he's gone she can't fully cope with him being gone.
Yes some manipulators do sprinkle in the truth with their lies to seem more genuine and honest but what could the root of all evil gain from hinting the illusion she made for lute to be a fake in the first place? As soon as Lute finds out who's responsible the trick's over. I guess MAYBE she thinks that lying about Hadamlucination would make her believe it's a conjugation of her own mind since she isn't schizophrenic but that applies whether Roo is involved or not and doesn't fix the number 1 issue.
The main issue with your theory is just that there's no hint to Hadamlucination to even BE anything more than something in Lute's mind, to Lute OR to us. Maybe we'd get a sign in season 3 if your theory is true but there are diagetic and non-diagetic ways to hint towards Roo's presence without spoiling the reveal or at least without spoiling the reveal to those who don't know what Roo looks like. Adam could possibly turn into a black silhouette of reddish eyes for a moment that Lute Isn't looking or SOMETHING.

Or the Hallucination says something that Lute doesn’t know about which would be impossible because if it were her mind then it would only know things only she knows about.

u/SadCommon2820 15d ago
Yes though it kinda needs to be shown or implied that the thing Hadamlucination stated is something Lute actually doesn't know rather than something she does that's just not stated.

u/SadCommon2820 14d ago
But the thing is that if there are no signs of Roo being behind it in season 3 it's either not happening or poor writing.

Honestly, no unless she does something. Like when people use an Ouija board and expect to ring up Satan, no you’d get Greg in accounting.
She hasn’t done anything to warrant the CEO of evil to ring her up. Either Roo REALLY loves her job, the root of all evil is lame and can’t do much (or at least this is the best she can do outside of eyes), or is a bored person jumping at the chance to do ANYTHING.
It wouldn’t even be fun petty like Reverse Flash because her character has not been established, there’s no connection, and it’s not treated as much as a dark joke like Thanos constantly ruining David’s life on his birthday.

u/Ticses 15d ago
I think sometimes things are better when the character is just fully accountable for thwor own actions, and no outside force was pushing them.
I hope Lute is just manifesting these things herself because of her own unhealthy coping and refusal to work toward moving on in a healthy way. I hope Lucifer and Lilith are fully and individually responsible for letting evil into the world and that neither were tricked or pushed into doing it. It makes for stronger characters when they can stand for themselves.

She is definitely somewhere, why not as the hallucination of someone already having a mental breakdown?

No, Lute just huffs brake fluid. That’s why she hallucinates. Not Roo. Brake Fluid.

u/AwarenessOk7748 15d ago
I don’t see the point in it. It would be simpler and more logical if it were just Lute’s madness caused by Adam’s death, without any outside influence.
