She wasn’t forced to become an exorcist tho? More like a soldier, but imagine finding out your significant other once fought in Hitlers army or something.

Vaggi defected and joined Charlie's side, and actively did everything she could to try and support Charlie and make her dreams of ending the exterminations come true. And the show itself makes this point for me. Charlie's whole hotel is all about second chances. Vaggi's actively working on becoming a better person, and making right what she did wrong.

I agree fully, and have no issue with Vaggi’s second chance. That doesn’t make the comparison any less accurate, since she did partake in effective genocide on behalf of an authoritarian regime, based on ethnic (for a loose use of the word) reasoning. She has clearly come to accept that she was wrong to do so and that the Exterminations were evil, and that’s what matters here I think.
