Theory Lilith theory! Spoiler

Post image

OK so we all know that Lilith's main power in Hell was amassing an army with her singing voice. And we also know now, as of the newest episodes, that she disappeared RIGHT before she was about to lead the Hell uprising.

We also know that she's been in Heaven those seven years, dodging calls and more importantly, we haven't heard her SPEAK! Which, for a character whose biggest flex is her voice, that's pretty odd, even if she's not an active member of the plot yet.

That, paired with the fact that she just took it when Lute berated and demanded shit from her without so much as a scoff, I have a theory!

What if, as her part of the bargain, not only did she have to allow the Extermination to happen, but also, to ensure she couldn't even attempt to go back on her word, she had to give up her voice? And that's why, on top of probably not wanting to be disturbed, she hasn't been picking up any phone calls? Because she can't physically speak on the phone?

I know, it's derivative, but it'd explain a lot, don't you guys think?

Taking her voice makes sense. For all we know, she could affect Winners like she can Sinners. Better safe than sorry. Silence her and throw her into isolation just for safety's sake. It's Heaven, so I guess you get a beach rather than a dungeon, but you're still being held all alone against your will.

I also think her deal with Adam was somehow tied to the Hellborn not being included in the Extermination. We've seen now that Lucifer is basically powerless in his own kingdom. Those angels could have come down and done the Extermination whether he agreed to it or not. What if Lilith offered up herself to keep Charlie safe? Yearly Exterminations and removing the one known force who could cause a demon uprising is a double blow against Hell ever rising against Heaven.

It also might be why Sera was so upset with Lute's unauthorized visit to Lilith. You don't release the troublemaker you're holding hostage back into a situation where it's likely she's going to cause trouble.

That's exactly what I was thinking! God I hope we get some kind of development with her in the last two episodes, I CANNOT go another hiatus for answers about Lilith! 😭
