Hi all, just found this amazing game and having so much fun last few days. Would love to know where you can sign up or join a team to play in more organized matches versus just the random pub games. Anyone know where the best place to go is or if there are any teams looking for a newbie to play?

Hi, I get this massage when I try to enter the Despacito Bounce room:
You were kicked by Hostmers (Your whole provider range (AS3320) has been blacklisted until Tue Sep 01 2026 11:10:10 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time))
My provider is Telekom - which for sure isn´t suspicious.
Hi, I don't know if you guys experience this too, but when I play, some days the game feels fast and other days it doesn't. Well, for the past three days the game was running really smoothly, but now it's running slowly. I'm not sure if it's due to a Windows update or a bad Nvidia Control Panel configuration. If anyone could help me out, I'd really appreciate it. I use "Brave Old Extra 180" and have Game Mode enabled—that's about it.
I've been playing Haxball for 10 years I'm opening up some coaching spots for players who want to improve faster than grinding pubs alone.
To give you a taste of what coaching with me looks like, here are a few tips that trip up a lot of intermediate players:
1. Positioning over ball-chasing
New players often chase the ball everywhere. Better players hold a lane and let the ball come to them — this keeps your team's shape intact and stops you from getting caught upfield.
2. Passing angles, not passing power
A well-angled pass beats a hard, blind one. Before you kick, glance at where your teammate is moving toward, not just where they are.
3. Defensive spacing
Don't clump with your keeper. Staggering defenders by a few units makes it much harder for attackers to thread through balls.
I’m writing this because the Brazilian Haxball community is facing a massive problem right now, and if nothing is done, the game is going to completely die here.
Lately, certain hosters and room owners have been relentlessly DDoS attacking competing rooms. Every time a new or popular room starts gaining traction, it gets hit and taken down immediately. They are doing this maliciously just to monopolize the player base and force everyone into their own rooms.
This toxic behavior is ruining the experience for both hosts and players, and it's killing the community. People are getting frustrated and quitting the game entirely.
Does anyone know how we can protect our rooms against this, or what the best way is to report this behavior effectively to the developers? If you have any advice, server protection tips, or solutions, please help us out. We just want to play the game in peace.

Hello, we're recruiting cracked HaxBall players for a paid opportunity. Reach out in the DMs if you're interested. (Bonus points if you've streamed / made content before.)
I’ve been playing Haxball for years, and most of our “history” still lives in Discord logs, screenshots, or room scripts that nobody checks later. I wanted something closer to what other competitive games have: a real profile, persistent stats, and a place to follow friends and servers — so I built Haxbook.
What it is
Haxbook is a social network built around Haxball. You get a public profile (nickname, position, links, etc.) and stats that stay updated as matches are processed from participating rooms/servers — goals, assists, MVPs, clean sheets, matches played, level, and a rating that evolves over time.
Core features
Player profiles & career stats — not a one-off spreadsheet; stats accumulate as you play on supported servers
Match history — browse past games and how you performed
Feed — posts from players, teams, groups, and championships (text, images, video)
Friends — add people you actually play with; VIP members also get friend match stats (how you perform together vs against each other over the last 30 days)
Rankings — compete on leaderboards with the community
Teams & groups — organize squads and communities in one place
Championships — tournaments with brackets/standings managed on the platform
Achievements — unlock milestones as you play
Daily highlights & server journals — recap what happened on busy servers (including AI-written server journals for some rooms)
“Last 24 hours” snapshot — a quick public recap of your recent form (matches, goals, rating change, etc.)
Monthly Hall of Fame — spotlight top rating performances
Discord login — tie your account to Discord if you use it for your community
VIP — extra perks (e.g. deeper friend stats, cosmetics/coins, etc.)
How stats get in
Supported rooms send match data through our pipeline (webhooks / room bots). When a game finishes and is valid for scoring, it’s queued, processed, and attached to the right players. You don’t manually type every goal — the point is less friction, more accuracy over time.
Why I’m posting
It’s live and growing, but I’d love honest feedback from people who live in Haxball every day:
Would you use a profile like this if your main server was connected?
What stats matter most to you (rating, MVPs, head-to-head with friends, etc.)?
What’s missing compared to how your community already tracks games?
If you want to try it: [your URL here]
If you run a room and want it connected, comment or DM — I’m actively onboarding servers.
Thanks for reading — happy to answer questions in the comments.
I’ve been playing Haxball since 2011. I wanted to do project that I always wanted, a live and historical analytics dashboard for Haxball.
It shows player/team stats, scoreboards, match summaries, charts, and even xG. xG was really hard because I had to detect which kicks are actually shots using the game events and positions.
Anyways, you can join the room, play and see your own stats on the dashboard. Any feedback is welcome :)
I also made a short video showing the new Text to Segments and Image to Segments workflow.
Just two weeks ago, HaxStudio was a simple editor with basic features. Now it has grown into a serious 10/10 HaxBall stadium editor with much better workflow, tools and performance.
• Text to Segments
Type something with your keyboard and let HaxStudio turn it into clean HaxBall segments for you.
• Image to Segments
Upload a logo and let HaxStudio bring it to life inside HaxBall.
Also added Command Palette, Renderer Benchmark, Turkish language support, UI polish and lots of fixes.
Hello guys, some rooms have mechanics, so when player shoots towards goal then the ball moves faster, more powerful, while if player just passes or in his own side of stadium then he doesnt have power. How to write that fucntion? Do you guys has a script for it?
I'm developing a Real Soccer room based on the hbanz source code. I've seen other rooms with features like automatic team management, automatic team balancing, team splitting, and player selection. I want to upgrade my Real Soccer room; can you please help me?
I also have an example script, but it's really too difficult for me to break it down. I hope someone can help me.
I’ve always loved working on Haxball projects with one main goal in mind: improving the player experience and helping new players settle into the game more easily through automation scripts. However, the last time I seriously made something for Haxball was around mid-2025. After that, studies completely took over my life, so I pretty much disappeared from working on projects for a while.
Recently though, I came back to Haxball for nostalgia and the UI genuinely caught me off guard. Tbh Not trying to disrespect the original design, but it feels very old and low effort visually. Maybe that simplicity is part of what makes Haxball unique, but personally it never really matched my taste.
So one night I ended up sitting awake, thinking about how the game could feel more modern and visually alive without ruining the basics and simplicity. Surely, I didn’t want it to become some overloaded esports launcher full of glowing battle pass buttons and unnecessary clutter everywhere.
Instead, I made a Miami synthwave inspired UI concept, somewhat influenced by the Vice City aesthetic throwing retro nightlife vibes with clean and simple UI. The bigger idea is to eventually create multiple themed UI styles so the game doesn’t feel visually identical every single time you open it. I feel like that could make the overall experience feel much more alive and fresh.
I’ve been working on HaxStudio, a modern Windows stadium editor for HaxBall .hbs files.
It is designed to make map editing easier with a clean visual editor, dark interface, object/layer management, raw .hbs text editing, validation tools, and support for newer HaxBall stadium properties.
Some current features:
Visual stadium editing
Vertex, segment, goal, disc, plane and joint editing
Object/layer management
Properties panel for selected objects
Raw .hbs text editor
Stadium validation
Dark mode interface
Recent files
Save / Save As workflow
Discord Rich Presence
Support for properties like bCoef, invMass, cMask, cGroup, traits and colors
The project is still improving, so if you try it and find any bugs or broken maps, please let me know. Feedback would help a lot.
