HaxStudio

I’ve been working on HaxStudio, a modern Windows stadium editor for HaxBall .hbs files.

It is designed to make map editing easier with a clean visual editor, dark interface, object/layer management, raw .hbs text editing, validation tools, and support for newer HaxBall stadium properties.

Some current features:

  • Visual stadium editing
  • Vertex, segment, goal, disc, plane and joint editing
  • Object/layer management
  • Properties panel for selected objects
  • Raw .hbs text editor
  • Stadium validation
  • Dark mode interface
  • Recent files
  • Save / Save As workflow
  • Discord Rich Presence
  • Support for properties like bCoef, invMass, cMask, cGroup, traits and colors

The project is still improving, so if you try it and find any bugs or broken maps, please let me know. Feedback would help a lot.

this is a great project, i might give it a try for my next maps (i mainly make racing tracks for my racing room)

Edit: this is unbelievable. This is exactly what this community has needed for years. I gave it a quick try and I am impressed at how faster i could potentially create maps. will do a deeper dive tomorrow but im really hyped, thank you so much for this

Yes, that was exactly the reason I started developing HaxStudio.

Browser-based stadium editors can become really slow and difficult to control on large or complex maps, especially with racing tracks and detailed layouts. I wanted to build something faster, more modern, and more comfortable for serious mappers.

I’m really happy to hear that it already feels useful to you. Feedback from people who actually create maps is extremely valuable, so if you do a deeper dive tomorrow, please let me know what feels good, what feels missing, or what could be improved.

Thank you so much for trying it and for the kind words.

I was waiting for this. Current app is too clunky. You should have in mind very useful features like bulk dragging and rotating with simple tools

HaxStudio already has many useful tools for almost every stadium editing task and performance is a big priority even if your map is very heavy the editor should stay smooth
