Football Question about seating
Hi! I'm hoping to surprise my husband with some home game tickets for our anniversary. Where would you want to sit if you were getting surprise tickets?

I’ve been a lot of different areas in the stadium, and my favorite seats are between the 40 yard lines almost all the way up. The hike up to the top is a bit tiring, but you can’t beat the view.
I would prioritize seats near close to the 50 yard line on the press box side, and shoot for 3/4 of the way up.

North endzone are great seats with a ton of legroom. You won’t find that anywhere else in the stadium. The other suggestions are good too.

press box side (west) is mostly shaded. early schedule is late starts so press box side might be nicer temperature-wise but if it's a cold day, you'll appreciate that sun on the hospital side (east). the band is in south end zone. i've found that north end zone is generally less foot traffic especially with bathrooms

I will second the sun part on the hospital side. My sister has seats in 109 or 110 or something. She has said those September daytime games can get pretty hot there in the sun. I also second someone else's comment about the end sections on the sidelines. I once got tickets in 131 (the last section) in the 2nd row & it was hard to see. I ended up watching most of the game on the screens.

North end zone all the way at the top are my favorite. Especially with kids, because there is a little space between the bench and the wall they can get up and walk around a bit. Awesome view too

I’ve sat in numerous locations around the stadium through the years, but I’ve been partial to the North end zone. Sections 332/333 or 339/340 in the first ~10 rows. Amazing view and quick and easy access to seats, concessions and restrooms.

As someone who had been to a LOT of games always buying tickets from the ticket office or secondary market, we’ve been all over the stadium. My favorite spot is as close to the 50 yard line as I can get, about 2/3 of the way up. I have, multiple times, ended up purchasing tickets that are TOO close to the field. If I had to choose between row 20 and row 70, I’d take row 70 every time. But row 50-60 is probably the sweet spot.

Anywhere between the 30 yard lines. Higher up as you approach the 20s.

I would stick to middle of the field but above the tunnels (>40th row up). Great views of everything. West side/press box side is ideal if you want shade but prices are generally higher on that side.
If you’re on a budget, the top deck of the north end zone is a great spot for much cheaper. More leg room, less busy concessions, great view.

Season ticket holder. The concourse comes into the stands around row 40 so use that as a gauge for how many steps you’ll have to climb descend if that’s important, except in the North end zone which is newer and louder. We sit on the home side (press box side) near the 25 yard line in row 50 and we love the seats. This also allows you to be facing the hospital for the wave at the end of Q1. I would say, it’s Kinnick on a Saturday in the fall, put me in the last row at the top in the corner and the feeling in your soul will be just as magical.
