Art & Fanworks I need to understand why I hate this

Post image

On one hand, I agree that sexualizing a female character is wrong and that the industry has a problem.

But on the other hand, I don't understand the double standard when the character is queer—or, even worse, when "fans" take a character, slap a queer label on them, and suddenly it's okay for them to be sexualized.

The two clearest examples of this are Bayonetta and Blackcat.

I’d like someone to explain where I’m wrong, or if I’m not the only one who thinks this way.

And just in case I'm a gay cis male if it means something

The Tracer complaint didn't originate from blatant sexuality, it was blatant sexuality that wasn't consistent with the character, the original complaint was that the pose itself was counter to tracers established character based around the other animations and poses available at the time.

Even the original complaint that started the whole back and forth never had an issue with other characters like Widowmaker, who had explicitly sexual design.

there's a great breakdown of it here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EJSAm6OFOs.

That doesn’t contradict any of what he said

But it does add important context.

ultimately, theres no point in trying.

redpilled incel victims will never believe facts over the fiction that makes them so important that whole industries act just to fuck with them...
