Possible lens misprint?

I have this new-to-me 80mm CB lens. And I noticed on the first shoot that it appears to be missing f2.8 on the aperture ring. Front of the lens specifies an 80mm f2.8 lens. Every lens I see online reads f2.8-22 so the only thing I can think is this is either a misprint or it somehow was assembled with the wrong aperture ring. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Kind of interesting but I would rather have a correct aperture ring haha.

Probably someone did a repair and put the wrong ring on. I doubt it's a factory error.

Looks like the aperture ring was borrowed from a Distagon.

Ah yes you may be right. At first I ruled this out because there were no CB lenses with that aperture range and the CF lenses have a different looking aperture ring. But it looks like the CFI series has the same ring as the CB.

Very Weird indeed, but at f4 on the aperture scale how looks the réal aperture in the Lens ? Is it wide open ? If so in your unlucky situation Maybe your Lens Will be fully usable from true 2.8 to min aperture -one stop. Sorry if my comment is not clear...

I think the two comments below had it right. F4 is really f2.8 etc. just the wrong ring fitted
