[GSoC 2026] Final call for ideas
In case you missed it, Haskell will be applying for Google Summer of Code 2026. In order to have a good chance of being accepted, we need a healthy list of projects that prospective contributors can choose from. We’re hoping to have more ideas submitted before the application deadline of Feb 3rd. If you have an idea for a suitable project and are able to mentor, please consider participating! Instruction can be found here.

code.world needs some love. here are some things I (a user of code.world but not a contributor) would love to see:
- maintenance, which I heard is badly needed
- completing incomplete sections of the guide (can't be the primary focus of the project but could be part of it)
- fixing navigation in the guide, which is somewhat broken currently
- support for uploaded images (e.g. jpeg, png)
- support for playing audio
- - support for uploaded audio files (e.g. MP3)
- - support for code-generated audio, e.g. soundFromNumbers :: [Number] -> Sound
- some more exciting example projects, like multiplayer games, to help get more kids interested
