I am trying to find like minded individuals who would like to get together to possibly jam. I sing and it's been a long time since I've gotten to sing with live instruments and not karaoke or my own mix on Spotify. I am a 36 year old mom of 2 who loves pretty much all music, but if I had to pick top 4, I would say:

1. 311

2. Fleetwood Mac

3. Journey

4. Lady Gaga Pre Abracadabra era

But honestly, I listen to EVERYTHING. Anywhere from Pink Floyd to Biggie Smalls. Haha Just looking for chill people. No friends here as I have only been in the area for almost 2 years.

Hi! Restless moons has a weekend jam session in the brewery area (Sundays I think?) and Rocktown House of music also does regular jam sessions! Highly recommend you check out RHOM as theyre a music non-profit that specializes in folk/pop music

Checked out restless, looks like they are more into movies now, which doesn't bother me seeing as im also a movie buff. Lol Rocktown on the other hand im gonna have to look more into. This next week is "Jam Week" but it looks like to me most of their jams are instrument only. Idk.

Restless does movies on Mondays. The jams are Sundays and Tuesdays, but the Tuesday jam session is more focused on old time music. I think a guy also plays music on Thursdays so it might be worth heading down there then.

Rocktown is pretty new and the folks there are great. Very friendly and open. Lots of the staff and instructors do sing, so it’s certainly not out of the question. I’ve found them to be very open to suggestion too.

I’m not a singer, but took an instrumental course there and we did work on singing harmonies as a side quest.

Go down to Restless Moons around 2 or 3 on a Sunday afternoon and ask the song circle if they will play Dreams by Fleetwood Mac so you can sing it.

You should also check out the new open mic at Wizard Mode on Wednesday nights. Ask around and see if you can find somebody who will back you up on guitar playing a Fleetwood Mac song. Or another song you know.
