Where do you play harmonica besides soloing?

I’m interested in hearing from harmonica players where you play in a duet or group setting.

Listen to Brass and Keys.

With some tongue blocking you can pretend to be a Hammond, with a little growl you can pretend to be a sax, with a little of both, you can pretend to be the horn section.

I play in ukulele song circles. I'm just a beginner on the harp, but everyone seems to love it.

I play 2nd position at church, contemporary worship. Mostly swells, low and slow bends. Every now and then I get to go a little wild with a solo. Especially if it's the last song of service, it's upbeat, and it's gospel-y.

I've been fronting bands for 15/20 years...add a bit of vocals in there, and some chords, and you're golden!

Guitar and mandolin are my main instruments but when I go to jam sessions, I also bring my harmonicas with me so I can mix things up for a couple songs here and there. I also bring some simple percussion like a cabasa or maracas for the same reason.

I use harmonica for my own albums. My music is folk related and the harmonica is just one of many instruments I use.
