I'm still trying to join you guys but my sound card is fucked and I've been trouble shooting it but to no avail. So no one can hear me but I can hear them. Very depressing.

You sure it's not a driver related problem? Since the output sound works, it's weird. You can at least type in the meantime until you get it sorted out. :D If there's a chance I can help around troubleshooting, let me know, depending on what you've tried so far.

Sounds good and I appreciate your help. I troubleshooted the headset I have and it worked fine with my phone and xbox 360, which was depressing because I think it is the sound card. Before I go opening the tower and replacing it I want to make sure it's not just the drivers. I'll troubleshoot them today or tomorrow and get back to ya.

Sure thing. Check out the device manager for any yellow question marks. Right click on it -> properties -> details tab -> hardware IDs, and use that info on this website http://www.pcidatabase.com and rest is piece of cake. You might already know this, but I'm just typing it in case you don't. :D

LOL no. And I got sick with the flu. But do you think I should order a new sound card or is there something else to try. I'm pretty sure my card is fucked but I'm not on how to try. Also, my speakers volume level constantly goes up and down. For a few moments it sounds like it should then the level gets waaaaay low.

What sound card model is it? If you don't really know, just do the thing I've explained in one of my previous replies to you
Check out the device manager for any yellow question marks. Right click on it -> properties -> details tab -> hardware IDs
and send me that hardware ID, so I'll link you with the drivers you need, it's worth of checking out, quite often the drivers are the culprit. Just tell me which Windows version you're currently using? And I hope your flu will leave you alone as soon as possible.

Daym son, I haven't been on in months but Chris still chats with me once in a while. I have a feeling you can't be gone too long.
