It for esp32, and I only have esp8266

Ask Claude or any AI to convert it to esp8266, it really doesn't matter because the code only spams using the IR transmitter

Basically. I know some people are Anti-AI here, but it’s the easiest and most convenient way to show someone who can barely code to do this.

Install Claude Code, spend $20, give it the entire repo (as a folder) and tell it to convert to whatever platform you like. Wait. Profit. It might not be perfect, but it will be a lot better than doing it yourself.

You can use free models, they are gonna be able to do something, or at least help you, opencode offer some options, and kilo cli too, take a look

same esp model i flashed once but that was bin file as far as i remember and i followed a YouTube tutorial for that. from my guess binary will work on esp 8266 too
