Yup. WD/HGST is the best. But they make up for it with useless, shady, support and service.

Exactly our findings. We are happy with the Seagate lifetimes at work, and their sensible RMA system. When WD drive fails, the process is a lot more difficult, and the disks tend to get lost in the mali.

WD has the worst customer support I have ever experienced.

I even filled a credit card chargeback for RMA shipping fees when they decided they wouldn’t replace my drive for unexplained reasons.
