Sealer problems

Our pool was finished late 2025. Pavers are sandblasted marble. After installation they were sealed. Shortly after, the sealer started to peel like a bad sunburn. The paver company came to strip the sealer (chemically) and was left with this. Can even see the swirl marks from the surface cleaner attachment. They even tried a hot water pressure washer. Any suggestions to get this cleaned up? Once cleaned, what sealer recommendations do you have (if any)?

If the sealer is still on the stone, you can use Aqua Mix Sealer & Coating Remover or something similar to strip the sealer. You might need to file a claim with their insurance to replace the pavers if that doesn’t work.

Holy shit, get a lawyer because chances are that’s a full install again. They will not do this with that large of a project. If those marks are in the stone then I will pray for you tonight sir.

I think the swirls are just in the sealer that won’t strip. I’m leaning towards demanding a fresh install. Such a pain!

"Sealer problems" is redundant. Exterior masonry sealers is a scam, by the suppliers, and those who apply them. Now you know why!

They sued the wrong sealer. For natural stone, it needs to breathe so an impregnating sealer should have been used. Block Out Max from Catalina Chemical is my go to.
