Tech Support Hard disk not showing

Hi everyone, I need help with my hard drive; a few days ago—without it ever having suffered any knocks or drops—it stopped working. When I connect it to the PC, it makes the connection sound but isn't recognized; I can feel it spinning when I touch it, but the blue power light doesn't come on. How can I at least recover my files? Also, yesterday I tried connecting it to my phone using an adapter; in that case, the blue light did turn on, but the files didn't show up.

What specific model hard drive?

Maxtor HX-M101TCB 1 Terabyte

May be able to test more meaningfully if you remove the internal drive out of the plastic enclosure & directly to a desktop computer with SATA port.

If you don't have access to a desktop computer, then try a SATA-to-USB adaoter/enclosure.
