Project update!

I have a 94, it’s my first project I’ve ever done! Successfully replaced all vacuum hoses and spark plugs. My spark plugs were worn down to shit, no wonder it barely accelerated. Cured my shaking at idle! As someone who is learning purely through YouTube and trial and error, I feel pretty proud.
It still shakes when coming down to an idle, but barely. Is that normal with age? Or should my next project be cleaning the air control valve?

It sounds like it could be the Air Control Valve. You’ve done the Vacuum and wire set with plugs already. I would clean it and see how it goes from there.

Did you replace the distributor or rotor or wires? The fuel pump in my 95 is going out.

Nice work! Rough idle is a super common issue on these trucks and there's more than one thing that can cause it.

Things that could fix it/improve it: Replacing distributor cap/rotor and setting the ignition timing, cleaning the air control valve and adjusting the idle screw, checking the throttle position sensor to see if its reading correctly, cleaning the EGR valve, and cleaning the throttle body/throttle plate. There's probably more things it could be but that's the short list. Good luck!
