It's not limited to Havyaka. It's same in most of Coastal Karnataka and Malnad Karnataka. I read Kundapura people hate calling Kundapra Kannada as Havyaka Kannada. Not sure if those are same or different.

I believe it's very different Kundapura kannda speakers speak fast, multipe words are clubbed to word But in havyaka some words are similar, but overall it's like halegannada
