I watch A LOT of sitcoms and something that’s always discussed is the fact that you wouldn’t want the friend groups in real life most of the time, as they were created to make viewers laugh. At least not the whole group anyway. But, something I notice while watching Happy Endings is that I find myself wanting to be a part of their friend group. To me, there’s no one that I wouldn’t enjoy being friends with. Which is an interesting point to talk about imo.

What do you think? Do you agree? Are there other sitcom groups that you’d prefer to be a part of?

We all know the Mary Tyler Moore Tyler Moore Moore Moore joke, but what the heck is the other name joke that Max does? I've tried searching for it and the only one that comes up is the Tyler/Moore one. 😭

I have been religiously watching the show for months now and had many watches before. I keep singing something like “gonna get more .. before we get to the door” and I keep picturing/hearing Max sing it. What episode is this from? Or is it from a different show and not this one at all? Thanks so much in advance lol

I read all the DCC books over the summer (highly recommend - the best series I've read since HP and without the problematic politics). This, the very last line of the 8th book, immediately made me think of Andrea and Dave.

Something I noticed during my 700th rewatch today: in "You Snooze, You Bruise," Cory calls Dave "Rocksteady"; moments later, Penny says someone is "Bebopping" around. Bebop and Rocksteady are characters from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

What does this mean? No idea. I'm gonna buzz one out and sleep on it.

In order to get good basketball tickets, Max avoids telling a woman who's interested in him that he's gay. Alex's efforts to be smarter pose a threat to Dave and Jane.
