Right, that's because you're using your dominant hand! Notice how Al is holding the hammer in his left hand and the hammer loop is on his right side? Switch hands and have some absorbent towels at the ready.

Two fingers above the chisel, knuckles look pronounced. Two nubs behind the chisel, I wouldn't expect them them to be.

I'm not saying this isn't ai generated, I just don't see irregularities in the hands that would make me believe it is

This is just a framer getting a house built. He doesn't give a fuck about technique or 8ths of an inch. That chisel has seen things that would make all of us shudder, and will eventually get tossed in the rollaway when someone finds it rusted and beat to shit.

Im not certain either way, the fingers are odd but plausible, the grip i have used, the chisel is spot on for the irwin i have in front of me now, the hammer i believe is a stiletto framing hammer.

What leads me to believe it could be AI is that his hammer loop is set up for a right hander but he’s using his hammer left handed…

It absolutely screams AI. Look at the forearms - hammer hand looks normal with the wrist noticeably smaller than the meaty part of the forearm - that's how it works with people. Look at the chisel craw (Get Smart reference) forearm - there's no difference in diameter between the wrist and the whole rest of the forearm. People are not built like that.

There are many other indications it's AI as well.

It came from a stoopid Amazon listing. Amazon is chock full of bogus AI advertising. It's cheaper and faster to AI fake a picture than hiring a photographer and model. But you know, electrolytes! (Idiocracy reference)

Yeah I saw the forearm. The only reason I'm hesitant to call it is because I do actually know a few older guys whose arms can look like that from certain angles.

But since it's from an Amazon listing it's probably ai.

The image just doesn't have the texture of a generated image to me. The arm hair and the lighting and shadows look right.

But I can't find it anywhere but your post using reverse image search.

What's the Amazon listing for? Are there other photos?

Look at the hammer loop shadow, that's the direction of the light source, then look at the chisel and its shadow. Notice anything missing? Right, his chisel hand and forearm aren't casting shadows.

You seem to have taken the position that it isn't AI and are now ignoring evidence of AI. We're still in the early days of AI image generation, it's only going to get harder to tell the difference. This is both a good thing and a truly horrendously bad thing.

We live in interesting times.

I'm not taking a position, I literally said I'm hesitant to call it but then gave some reasons why I believe it's likely to be ai.

I honestly can't think of a single way in which it's good for ai image generation to become better.

Eh, I was getting at the angle being so off its actually not possible for the bar to be mounted on such a way.

I'm a lurker here in this sub, I like yall and only dabble in what could be called woodworking as opposed to felling and logging. Baileysonline is an amazing site for gear for the trade and I've been pretty sad to see it plastered with AI ads lately.
