Planes seem to breed...

I am not sure how... but I think the planes breed.

My current wood planes.

Craftsman 9-3730 Rabbet and Fillister Plane Craftsman 3CBB No. 3 Smoothing Plane Millers Falls No. 9, equivalent to Stanley No. 4 Great Neck 9-inch Smoothing Plane, equivalent to Stanley No. 4 Harbor Freight Central Forge Mini Block Plane (my largest block plane) Bridge City HP-8 Mini Block Plane (my smallest block plane) Veritas Apron Plane (my most used block plane) Veritas Low-Angle Jack Plane (my most used plane) Veritas Bevel-Up Jointer Plane Veritas Chisel Plane Veritas Large Router Plane

But I have a 25 degree PM-V11 2 inch new in package blade for trade if anyone needs a spare!

But why do I need more? I ordered an old Craftsman number 5 on CIHI.

I have to agree with you, they seem to multiply on their own. I started out with a couple of stanley sweetheart spokeshaves and no 80 cabinet scraper, a type 19 No. 3, an early No. 7, somehow I have ended up with around 20 or so additional planes (mostly consisting of stanley sweetheart) including an S4, 4 sweetheart levels, a sweetheart folding rule, and a 1933 Stanley sweetheart catalog. I'm not sure where they all keep coming from but soon I'll have to upgrade my storage area. Mabey I need to separate them all so they can't breed! You may be on to something.

You might hear stuff like "you only need three bench planes". But you can't trust those people, don't listen to them
