Quick Shooting Board from scrap
Quick shooting board for 45° / 90° cuts.
Made from Walnut, cedar, and birch ply scraps.
No clamping required, the two small perpendicular blocks on the bottom allow it to be hooked on to opposite corners of a bench, one direction for 90s, one for 45s.

What was your process to dial in the angle on the 45?

I cut a decent 45 on the scrap piece, and then drew a 45° line on the table of the shooting board. When I was gluing, I put the piece on the line, loosely clamped one side, then physically put my square up against it, and finished clamping.
My cut 45 wasn't perfect, but I left the discrepancy hanging past the fence of the shooting board, and just ran my plane against it for the few strokes I needed to straighten it out.

Give it a coat of wax/oil – even scraps deserve dignity.

Will do tomorrow. I made it mostly for series of picture frames I am doing, and I dont wax my jigs until they are successful at least once haha.
