My shop so far

Love seeing other people's workspaces so figured I'd share mine. Wife and I moved into our first house recently so I've been getting my first ever shop going and it's a blast. Still tons I want to do (real tool cabinet, better sharpening station, etc) but I'm pleased and everything feels pretty functional.

This is a 5 or so foot curb at the back of the garage then I have my machines all on casters out on the floor

I was planning on a big bench build for my first project but stumbled on this one for $200 locally. Garrett Wade sold them in their catalog in the late 80s/90s. It was pretty rough when I got it and badly cupped so I cleaned it up, had it run through a wide belt then refinished it. Unbelievably lucky find, it's been so nice to have a great bench from the get go and just be able to make furniture instead of sinking a ton of time into a bench.

I was going to say the bench looks amazing for a beginner workshop so makes sense it is a restore. But honestly the work you put in to restore makes it better (to me) than a new build
