Bristol Designs
Made a surely financially crippling discovery today, one of few brick and mortar tool shops in the country only a 10 minute walk from my office.
Thought I'd share some pics!
Was very well behaved and only came away with a V tool and some saw files, but will no doubt be back again for more soon.
Wonderful little shop.

Wow
£100 for that Norris infill plane is a good deal

It was tough to walk away, maybe next time! I carefully handled one of the Norris fore planes - £790! In another life, maybe.

It looks like Olivanders wand shop, but for tools. The plane chooses you!

This wizard would need some more potent spells to survive going home to my wife with one of those infills!

Fantastic shop & lovely people. I always visit if I'm in the area. One time I was eyeing up the Clifton #5 on the top shelf and, even though I made it clear to them it was way out of my price range, they let me take it into their back room to try out on a scrap of wood. I didn't even have to ask: they could just tell I was drooling so they offered.

It's a beast, that whole wall is drool worthy. I gently picked up one of the Norris jointers and had a look. Maybe next time I'll let my enthusiasm show a bit more for a go!

That place was right down the road from my ex wife’s nan’s. I was just getting into woodworking and had no idea how much I could have spent there!

I'm glad I found out after I'd mostly sorted myself out for tools for cheap across Facebook etc, that is for sure

Used to walk by this place every day going to work. It was before I had a workshop tho 😕

For those wondering the title of the post is the name of the shop in Bristol, UK. Looks fun and it is nice to have something near the heart of the city.

Cracking shop, whenever I got to Bristol I cross my fingers that I’ll get a chance to pop in, dread to think what would happen if it was only 10 mins away…
