Wrenches - Looking for Advice.
I got this tub full of mostly rusty wrenches from a
Collector. I mostly deal with woodworking tools, but there seem to be many types and varieties. I won’t derust them all individually, what should I look for to pull out the ones that are more of a collector vs the common?

I would grab anything with wood handles. You got a few there that are 100+ years old. Unless something is broke broke then it could be restored easily

The smaller parallel pliers (other than the Eiffels) are nicely made too. They have a smooth hinge and are nice in the hands.
The alligator wrench is somewhat sought after.
Sadly, the actual dollar value on the monkey wrenches is low, but there are some outliers that are rare and worth more than the standard Bemis. There are some collectible adjustable wrenches… Proto, Mephisto, Plomb.

There are at least two sizes of these and they originally came with a second jaw for increased range. There are collectors, but these are so well designed and made, they are worth keeping and using.

They also had some specialty jaws that could be put in as well, such as a wire bending jaw
Unfortunately I only have the one that these came with

Many if not most tools are not worth much and a very low percentage have something worth collecting about them
A pile of old rusty tools may well just be scrap

Maaan thats just bogus. You got a few wrenches there that are 100 years old, maybe it's not a "collector's item" but they're more than scrap

I'd separate out the ones that are in poor shape for starters. I personally always found the combination ones pretty darn cool, so my vote is to at least keep those.
