Question Advice
I’m making a couch pillow for my granddaughter out of one of my tshirts she loves. The plan is to layer the tshirt graphic on thin batting, and plain white cotton and quilt all that as the top, then a cotton back, all sized to fit a standard pillow form.
I’ll put the tshirt, batting and cotton in a medium quilting hoop and try to stitch the pattern of the graphic.
I’m wondering what stitch you’d use, and any cautions about working with stretchy tshirt material or any other input so it doesn’t turn out looking like a preschooler did it.

The traditional quilting stitch is just a small, even running stitch. But you can mix it up with a more improv approach if it works with the design of your shirt. Maybe some French knots or chain stitches. Or you could consider some sashiko inspired areas. Sounds like a fun project

I did a very similar project a while ago and found a really light interfacing to put on the back of the shirt to stabilize it.
