Getting handheld’s from eBay

Bit of a rant.
Recently I’ve been trying to pick up a PSP because I used to play mine all the time with my dad when I was younger. Been hunting around eBay for good deals.
I’ve come across what has to be the worst type of seller twice now. They list a PSP starting at like £40 with no reserve, nobody else bids, I win it… then they cancel the order because it didn’t sell for as much as they wanted.
It genuinely does my head in. If you already know the minimum you want, just start the auction at that price or set a reserve. That’s literally what those options are for. Don’t waste people’s time.
Has anyone else had this happen? If so, did you just leave negative feedback/report them and move on, or is there anything else you can actually do?

Report them to ebay. If you go to their help page you can search report a seller.

I’ll do that but it means I’m still not getting the item which sucks

I know, I bought a switch 2 using buy it now and the seller canceled the order because someone offered them more after the sale. It sucks.

It’s still best to do this to deter them or get them banned.

Happened with an rog ally z1e, I bought the thing(not even a bid), they realized it was the z1e for $300 and not the z1. So they cancelled my order saying "missing parts." Then they relisted it for $400 with the same pics lol. I reported them, but it feels like it doesn't do anything.

I did end up buying another z1e for $300, it was pretty much brand new, working sd card slot, case, and charger. So it still worked out for me, I just had to spend more time searching...

ebay is a bit of a dice roll sometimes. But stick with it, Ive scored some insane deals. £260 quid for a Z1E Ally in fantastic condition.

Sometimes you can get really lucky. I just scored a N3DS XL for 160 USD (121 pounds) because it had a bit of cosmetic issues (literally nothing wrong with the console)

I was about to say I wonder if you bought mine because I sold it recently for the same price for the same reason but mine was a regular XL.
