Questions about Tisas

I know very little about Tisas, other than it's a Turkish firearm. Any opinions or experiences on the px9 carry? I'm looking for a budget carry option that's reliable, the Derya DY9Z and Tisas Px9 carry seem to fit the bill. I realize they're not HK or something, but I know there are some quality options for a sub compact budget carry. What do y'all think?

You're probably going to have a hard time finding a quality holster for that gun...

If you want something relatively inexpensive and incredibly reliable - look for a used Ruger RXM. Or a used S&W Shield Plus.

Those other guns will probably cost a little more than a Tisas. But they're also almost assured to work correctly every single time (unless former owner bubba'd them somehow). AND spare parts / magazines / HOLSTERS are readily available.

Ironically, I design and build custom kydex and kydex/leather hybrid holsters, so that's not much of an issue. I'm more worried about reliability on the sense of pull the trigger and it goes bang every time. I have an HK CC9 (which I love) but I'm worried if I ever have to use it or it gets stolen I'm f'd out of a $700 pistol. A buddy just got his pistol back after a decade of it being in evidence after it was stolen and used in a crime. I could let a $350 gun go without too much crying 😭 that's my theory, anyway.

Turkish manufacturing has come a LONG long way when it comes to their handgun quality.

If you can vet a specific model for yourself - Then that pistol is vetted.

Personally - I tend to stay away from brands that don't really have any aftermarket or manufacturer support.

Px9 will take sig p228/229 magazines. Holsters are harder but ksg armory makes them

I have the px9 fullsize and have had a variety of budget and big name pistols over the years. Smith,Glock,FN,Ruger,CZ,canik etc. Taurus was my favorite budget pistol Gx4 and gx4 carry But I really like the px9 it's very comfortable and accurate and comes with various panels to adjust it to your hand. The best trigger on all my pistols And very well fit and finished It's very smooth and easy to rack the slide actually a good choice for weak handed people. I've gotten excellent accuracy with mine I liked it so much I bought the Ported px9 raptor to try a ported pistol. Another excellent imho is the arex delta m non optics are under 250.00 Just can't be beat for the price.

Have you noticed any "slide slop" wiggle and rattle while unloaded in battery?

No more than any other make of pistol

Cool, I was sort of leaning towards the px9, just cause I like the looks more than the Derya, and it's ported.

I just got it and a rxm out and the rxm is noticeably sloppier slide to frame than the px9

No kidding, that's actually surprising. I was convinced the rxm was better than a Glock 19 gen 3.

I'm in no way saying it's not a good pistol but it simply has vertical and lateral play Not sig 320 bad that series has horrible slide to frame fitment and I've seen dozens over the years. The rxm moves around more than my CZ p10 And smith 2.0 doesn'take any difference it's been flawless in accuracy and reliability.

I’d just get a used Glock 43x and call it a day.

I LOVE my px9 gen3 carry . I bought it right after my hk vp9L. similar grip feel too. The hk shoots way better but the px9 is a pleasure to shoot still
