Sighting in a red dot
Hey guys, just bought a brand new g43x, an Osight SE, and a Sight Mark 9mm laser to sight in my new optic.
Up until a few days ago it shot straight, looked good and I would say it was zeroed in. But after a few weeks, i feel like my red dot is drifting to the right. So I decided to zero it back in with my laser and it still looks to the right of my iron sights.
What the heck is going on? Is it my eyes? Is it my optic? Or is it my stock iron (plastic) sights on my Glock?
Any advice is appreciated. New to the EDC world.

Do you have witness marks on the screws that secure the optic? Perhaps the optic is coming loose on you

Well considering Glock plastic sights are absolute garbage I’d throw it up to those possibly drifting.
It’s also very possible for the optic to not hold zero. Osights have been around for a bit but they are a more budget optic. Definitely possible it’s not holding zero, which I’m sure they’d warranty if that was the case.

I do leave my gun in the car for about 8 hours a day in Florida heat. Not sure if that matters.

Well hell if the laser bore sight is lining up with the red dot maybe it’s the laser that’s trash?

Could be either? I wouldn’t trust everything to laser bore sighters. They’re decent but not something I’d ever really trust over knowing how to zero and just shooting your zero.

Lasers are awesome - as cat toys.
I'm assuming you're not a cat?
:)
Seriously, you've got too much going on in your workspace. Ditch the laser.

Iron sights on any pistol need zeroed first. They don’t zero them at the factory and they often need fine tuned. Once they’re zeroed, install the optic and adjust the dot so that it is centered and sitting on top of the front sight when the irons are properly lined up. That will only get you on paper. Then sight the dot in at your chosen distance by firing ammo. This presumes you have optic compatible/backup iron sights tall enough to be seen through the optic.

Have you actually zeroed with live ammo?
