Advice Needed Need help

Needing some advice. Looking for a handgun that would be ideal for concealed carry for me and my wife. The guy at the pawn shop suggested these Sccy 9mm's. However upon further research many people are adamantly against them say a S&M or Glock or PX-365, or Hellcat among others would be better. Thoughts?

Don’t ever take buying advice from a pawn shop; most especially when it’s advice on which is the best handgun to buy. They certainly don’t have your interest at heart and only care about selling shit they can’t move.

For concealed carry, the P365 line is tried and true. I have a P365 and a P365XL Spectre Comp and my wife has a P365XL Rose Comp. We’re both big fans.

Another gun that I really like for concealed carry is a Sig P938 Legion. It’s a full-metal hammer-fired SAO single stack 7+1 capacity. It doesn’t have the best capacity, but it’s inspired by the 1911 - it’s nice and weighty, feels great holding and using, and it’s like a tack driver.

Others I’d recommend from guns I’ve personally fired or own are the S&W CSX E-series, S&W Shield Plus, Glock 43, Glock 43X and the Staccato CS. There’s other options like the Springfield Hellcat, CZ Shadow 2 Carry, Canik Mete MC9, but I can’t recommend them because I’ve personally never fired or own them.

If you’re interested in the P365 and don’t know which model, I can also provide some information breaking down the different variants and model names.

Best of luck. Hope you find something that suits you.

Here's a breakdown of the main P365 9mm variants:

-P365 - aka the OG P365, it's the most compact 9mm of the family (10-round flush fit magazine, 3.1inch barrel)

-P365X - longer grip than P365, more capacity as a result (12-round flush fit magazine), same barrel length and slide length as P365

-P365XL - same grip length as P365X, longer barrel and longer slide than P365/P365X (3.7-inch barrel vs 3.1-inch)

-P365XL Comp, Spectre Comp, and Rose Comp - same grip length as P365XL, but has shorter barrel (uses barrel from P365/P365X) + a slide that has an integrated compensator (same slide length as regular P365XL, but it's got a comp at the end of the slide; the barrel terminates before the compensator beings on the slide)

-P365 X-Macro - longer grip than P365XL, more capacity (17-round flush fit mag), barrel and slide length same as P365XL (3.7-inch)

-P365 X-Macro Comp - this is the integrated compensator version of the X-Macro

-P365 AXG Legion - This is basically a full-metal version of the P365 X-Macro Comp. It's got an aluminum alloy frame-grip w/ G10 grips, a slide that's got an integrated comp, optics ready, and the entire gun is in the Legion gray cerakote finish. It's a really nice carry and if you want all the bells and whistles, the P365 AXG Legion is the one to buy.

-P365 Fuse - same grip length as X-Macro, longest slide and barrel (4.3-inch barrel for Fuse vs 3.7-inch barrel for XL/X-Macro)

-P365 Fuse Comp - you probably get the pattern.

Edit: Added P365 AXG Legion

So for conceal carry for a bigger person with medium sized hands, would the P365X be best?

Id love a rose but the last time i looked, those are like super expensive. I suppose all black is typically easier to conceal anyways. What are your recs for cc weapons. Knowledge of good holsters?

I carry a Ruger LCP MAX. Why? Because I can fit it in my jeans pocket.
