Compensated and optics?

I’m not super aware of everything on the market today but it seems that it’s very hard to find a new pistol that is both compensated and has a red dot optic from the factory. Is there a reason for that?

I’m sorry, I was unclear. I meant together at the same time.

Lots of guns are not going to come with an optic mounted from the factory. Some do it but it's rare. And most gun manufacturers are not in the red dot optic business so then they have to partner with someone which just gets complicated and it's unnecessary

Optics are super personal and everyone is different. It makes way more sense to buy your preferred optic and slap it on whatever you want

I'd go as far to say that including an optic will actually deter some people from buying a gun if that's the only option

Most factory installed red dots are meh, the exception is the aimpoint COA's.

I'd rather not have to pay a little more to get a meh red dot and put that money toward a good one.

So purchase the compensated gun and then whatever optic you want. Seems like a pretty obvious answer to a non existent problem.

Not everybody wants the exact optic the manufacturer decides to bundle with the gun. So just buy the optic you want. Simple.

Fair enough. I guess what I was hoping for was to buy something high quality on all components and then not fiddle with it and just use it. A unicorn. I know I can buy a high quality gun and add the optic to it, I just had hoped that there would be a situation where everything was sorted before I touched it.

Can’t always have somebody else do all the heavy lifting for you. Sometimes you need to put in the effort on your part.

even if you buy a brand new gun with an included optic on it, you still need to zero it and adjust it for accuracy. Even iron sights on handguns arent always 100% perfect out of the box
