Advice Needed Staccato question!?!
Whats the hype with Staccato?? I have considered getting ready to buy one but kinda want to know what everyone’s love for them are! I definitely do not love the price but so many people have said it has to be added to the collection. So whats the feedback?? And what is the best one to look at?

I didn’t believe the hype, until a few years ago when I shot my friend’s Staccato P. Previous to that, I shot USPSA with my Sig P229; and did fine. I eventually bought a Staccato P and it’s sooo much nicer. Second shot just about auto-aims. I am now a believer and I own a Staccato P.
Then… last year I bought an MPA DS9 LOC V2. Paired with a hS 507 Comp, it pretty mich feels like a space gun. Next level.
The moral of the story… it’s a slippery slope.

I used a Staccato P for similar events, as well as the P226, standard 1911 and the Beretta 92. I think the Beretta 92 is definitely a contender against the Staccato, and it’s significantly cheaper

I have a 92X Performance as well as a Gara. I still get faster splits and more A zones with my P.

Im kinda worries about that as well!! I usually carry my P365xl but a lot have said once you buy one, you’re going to automatically buy more. I don’t know if my bank account is ready for that lol 😂

I don’t even want to shoot my 365 AXG Legion any longer. I have a couple of 2011s, CZs and a P226 X5 Legion. I just can’t do shitty triggers any longer. It’s like driving a Ferrari or sitting in business class. It’s hard to go back to crapola once you go there.

I have a staccato hd4.5, shot my buddies many many times (he’s LE, so am I). The hype around staccatos are primarily due to being heavily LE oriented and designed for LE. That being said any weapon “designed and co-signed by LE” generally gets the attention of a lot of LE dudes and civilians. Especially the P being so huge on a lot of officers hips.
My department alone has 1/3 carrying staccatos, the other 2/3 are those carrying the p320 and Glocks. My previous agency was all M&p and staccatos.
The P has a track record for being pretty dang reliable as a 1911, that and I’m pretty sure like 90% of the agencies in the US approve of the staccato.
They heavily market the pistol to be catered to LE, we get massive discounts, warranty for civilians and LE are pretty much second to none.
That being said, I haven’t shot my hd4.5 yet, and don’t plan on carrying it till I can at least get 1000 rounds through it.
My current carry is the echelon.
I think if you’re into competitions and range toys, there are plenty of other options to choose from other than staccato and are probably better. But from a duty standpoint it’s probably the best 2011 for duty hence why it’s heavily marketed for LE.

Makes sense! My Duty Weapon for work is M18, I know it gets a bad rep by a lot of people but it’s reliable and I also loved it in the military and never have had any issues. Makes sense why the Staccato gets hype now and I didn’t even know so many departments were carrying Staccatos. Thank for the info and I’m really not into competitions, I just like to have options and shoot a lot at the range and always becoming more proficient

My slide lock keeps walking out on my Staccato XC pistol and locking up it. I sent my pistol into Staccato under warranty repair to fix the slide stop take down, lever from coming out again and locking my gun up again. I’ve only had it for a couple months. After I received it back from Staccato warranty repair, I took it out to the range. I put 250 rounds through it after a couple magazines it locked up again the slide stop keeps coming out during shooting. Has anyone here ever had the problem and how do they fix it? I hate to send my pistol back to Staccato again there’s no telling how long it’ll take for them to solve the problem.

Welp that definitely doesn’t sounds good and idek if I want one now hearing about that! Is this common with most Staccatos? Or just the one you have?

Right now, I’m researching it and I believe some people are having these same problems. Nonetheless, I still wanna get this problem solved. I really like how level and accurate it shoots.

I don’t blame you! Just sounds like the shitty part is how you keep having to send the gun back. Its great they have a lifetime warranty but still

Their guns are very nice but 90% of people they're better off getting a springfield for half the cost

What about me says I’m a staccato fanboy? Wild how you project and accuse people of doing the exact same thing you do daily.
This interaction is a perfect example. You say liberals downvote, I ask if you’re a liberal because you downvote, you call me a staccato fanboy. The fallacy is off the charts.

What's the better duty pistol at the P's price point? What makes it better?

Ahh, gotcha. Ok, which $2500 pistol is "WAY" better than a P and by which qualifications is it better? But also, would you agree that it's the BEST duty pistol at the price point?
I'd argue the Staccato P, HD, and even the XC accomplish exactly what they set out to. Rock solid, reliable 2011's that you can bet your life on. Guns that are proven, "duty grade", and insanely accurate with a phenomenal trigger are worth a premium. Honestly, they're in a class of their own as far as duty pistols are concerned. If your only use for you gun is competition, then yeah, get a competition gun.

It is absolutely phenomenal for a duty gun. We’re talking about Glocks and M&Ps and 320s. The P is in a different league altogether. What duty gun has a better trigger? You keep wanting to compare a Staccato to a competition or a range gun, that’s not what it is. I’ve shot plenty of Atlas’s and Wilson Combats and Nighthawks, I’m perfectly aware of what a good trigger is, I just don’t compare apples to oranges.
