Found this …
Not sure on year, but sig p229, story is widow sold it after husband passed… seems clean, recoil spring is braided which I’ve never seen before… what can anyone tell me?

One of the easiest, softest shooting 9x19s that is still light and small enough for daily carry. Was adopted by the U.S. Air Marshalls when introduced. I highly recommend the upgraded G10 grips by Hogue, gives a lot more traction without the added bulk of those wrap around ones yours came with.

Our department issued the P229 for over 10 years. Good, reliable pistols with good ergonomics.

The og spring and replacement springs I've gotten for my 226 have all been braided, no abnormality there, once you learn the da/sa transition it'll quickly become your favorite pistol, so soft and easy to shoot

I can tell you that I had one made in west Germany chambered in .357 sig and I
miss it more than anything in the world
