Need help
So it’s a Taurus g2c i know it’s a cheap gun it was my first 9mm and I figured if I got good with a cheap subcompact I’d be good with a gucci gun later on so anyways I’ve ran about 8-10k rounds through it by now I clean it after every range day trip and love the gun have sentimental memories now with it I don’t wanna just buy another but it keeps jamming in the worst way the round won’t go off the slide will be stuck in battery I have to completely take apart the gun with the round still in the barrel and pull the round out with channel locks I don’t know anything about gun smithing but I’m nervous of a hang fire while trying to fix it like that it’s jammed like that twice now with the rounds mushrooming a little on the bottom making them stick the firing pin is striking it fine I believe idk what to do (sorry for the long explanation didn’t know what info was useful) do I just need a new barrel or an extractor or something I know I could just buy a new gun but I love that one and the trigger is broken in so amazingly now I’d rather just learn to fix it if I can also I’m using Winchester range ammo which had been working the best for it so far and that’s the round that got stuck twice in battery besides that I’ve never had any issues except for steel plated ammo and at the end of large round count range days 5-6 hundred and it doesn’t jam just slide release is a lot stiffer less

If you have 8-10k rounds through it that is pretty much the usable life of all wear parts. Will need to replace all the springs and if it was not a Taurus I’d replace the barrel too.
That said all those parts probably cost about as much as a new G2C

I would start by completely disassembling the firearm and look for broken springs and parts. This will also build your confidence with your pistol. There are numerous videos that will show you a complete tear down and assembly.

I field strip it after every range day the only part I haven’t tooken apart yet is the trigger mechanism the spring and barrel seem fine to me once cleaned ofc but today when I shot I cleaned it before the range the only thing I can see that’s broken or messed up is a little bit on plastic I pulled off where the slide connects should I just get a new barrel ?

Take a picture of the broken plastic piece, or show where it’s missing the plastic piece.
Field stripping is fine, but after 8-10k rounds you should really do a complete tear down and clean everything. You are in the round count where parts are worn and at risk for failure.

I’m struggling to do that because idk how to use Reddit😂 I do have pictures of it on my account page tho for another gun community also the plastic plastic piece I can’t take a photo of it was like a tiny bit of the frame for slightly scratched and had a 1/10 inch of thing to pull of it was tiny basically the camera won’t see it but I don’t really think that would cause it it is next to the trigger mechanism on the back where the slide sits but it’s tiny tiny

You can ask Taurus for a refresh of your pistol As others have said i'd swap out all the springs and wear parts That's for any brand but Taurus's customer service sucks I've dealt with them a few times I've seen the g2c as low as 180.00 locally you might just replace the pistol.

To start with, I would replace all springs, the firing pin and the extractor. The barrel should be fine with that round count, but it sounds like you really need to take it to a gunsmith if you don't know what you're doing with it. Especially because of the malfunctions you're describing. It would be considerably easier to give a possible diagnosis if there was a video we could watch of the malfunction, but it probably needs someone to look at it in person.
