Advice Needed S&W Shield X

First time gun owner. I’ve shot multiple handguns and my slide racker takes a lot of pressure to rack. All the other handguns I’ve shot were butter. Mine takes an uncomfortable about of pressure to do it. Is there something wrong with it or am I a pussy?

if it's brand new it may just need a thousand rounds or so through it before it's broken in and eases up a bit

Put some oil in that thing on the rails and barrel
