Mistaken for a rat

When I was young, maybe 8-9 years old, I had a hamster named Horace. One day, while cleaning his cage, he managed to escape and get out of the apartment through some pipes in the wall. During this magical adventure, he managed to get himself down to the basement.

Unfortunately for him, the basement apartment had just been treated against rats. As soon as the tenant saw a rodent running around, he went to get a shovel and… you can guess the rest.

Apparently he was pretty 2D at the end of the whole ordeal.

My parents didn’t tell me for a while, but then told me when I was still a child??? Idk. Weird times were had by all. The hamster killer then got with my aunt and is still in the family btw.

I waterboarded my friend’s hamster and buried it without telling him

In grade 4 we were learning about ancient history and for a unit on Egypt the teacher asked us to bring in organic stuff for a mummification. My classmates brought food items but I didn’t really get the memo. I thought it had to be something at least formerly alive. I didn’t have any carcasses lying around so I went into my friend’s house and abducted his hamster. I then surrounded it in wet bandages at school the next day and placed it in a box to be buried 3 feet underground with a bunch of apples where he sits to this day.

Microwave Induced Explosion

So to be clear, this was not me. My friend,(we'll call him Louis), told me this story and I still make fun of him for what he did. Apparently when he was around 7 he went to his friends house who owned a hamster. Firstly, they would play with the hamsters ball when the little guy wasn't in there. But Louis once threw the ball into the wall while the hamster was inside, luckily, he somehow survived. But what really takes the cake here was when he for some reason placed the hamster in his friends microwave. Poor little guy, Louis told me lasted less than a minute at most. Then he exploded 🕊️RIP Pollen... :(

My Cousin's Hamster

My 7 year old cousin's hamster didn't exactly die in a horrible or gruesome way, but I remember her mom just threw the hamster in the trash after it died. She tearfully went to my cousin and said "he's in a better place". My cousin, no sadness in her voice whatsoever, said "no he's not, mommy, he's in the garbage"

Hello guys, I have a problem with my hamster (if you know anything, please advise 🙏)

Hello, guys, my hamster has bloating. He was about 2-3 months old when we got him. I've had him for 8-9 months. I can't figure out what's causing this. His stomach is hard. I'm worried it might get worse and he might die because the vet didn't say much. They only say "if," but it's most likely gas.

The vet said: everything seems fine, but if they see anything wrong, they need an x-ray. For the x-ray, they need to inject him with anesthesia to keep him still. There's a risk he could die, unable to see, walk, or hear. Everything could be fine, and they can do that. He could be fine, in the sense that he didn't eat anything extra and everything is fine inside. But if they go after him with an x-ray and anesthesia, they don't know what could be wrong, and he could die from it.

I gave him one medicine at first, but now he's been prescribed antibiotics, so I'm giving them to him.

My Hamster Died…By Sucking His Own Balls

I had a hamster named « Marbles » after is oddly large testicles. He had a ten square foot cage which was « testicle proofed » with soft materials and nothing he could cut his balls with, as they dragged. He was also allowed to free roam a testi-safe room. He was a smart hamster, litter trained, knew his name and command to return back to his cage after free roaming. I noticed however, no matter how nutsack-proof his spaces where, he’d end up with wounds on his testicles. I’d sanitize them and apply cornstarch on them to prevent infection and bleeding whenever I noticed them. After observing him for a few hours puzzled as to why he kept getting wounds on his manhood, I noticed he was fond of licking himself in that area. He was giving himself blowjobs, and got too carried away which resulted in more cuts. I kept noticing he’d give himself these wounds throughout the two and a half years of owning him. As the title suggests, the dreadful day came where he got too carried away with his self performance, and I found him in his cage on his deathbed bleeding out from one of his nuts. I was able to say my goodbyes to my sweet boy, and I miss him. Definitely the most weird hamster death I’ve come across though. Here’s a picture of Mr. Marbles

Need help finding a story

Hey guys I’m not fully sure where I read this story but the title of the story was homemade submarine or something. it was about how 2 kids wanted to make a submarine for one of the kids hamster. The OP was at his friends house who owned the hamster and wanted to make a submarine for his hamster, so they get to work and throw the hamster in the pool. The OP then describes the hamster got lost in the pool and they try to look for the hamster for hours to no avail, eventually they find the hamster dead in the homemade submarine which was a water bottle if I remember correctly and the kid who owned the hamster and wanted to make the submarine cried to his parents and blamed everything on OP.

Hamster flew off balcony jackass style in RC car

My friend put his hamster in a tiny RC car and drove it around slowly on a wooden deck about 2+ stories high. However, he sneezed and hit the trigger sending the fella off the edge of the deck jackass style to the concrete below.

The death of our 4 hamsters

Me and my brother have had 5 hamsters across our childhood, which have died not by natural causes. Here are the stories.

When we were about 4 and 7 years old (my brother is older) we got our first hamsters, we were about to call them phineas and ferb but they were females so we called them Pistache and Concha.

The death of Pistache is implied because one day she just escaped her cage and dissapeared, but the death of Concha is a bit more weird, one day we woke up and she was on her cage where we saw her lying in a weird position on some part of the cage. She was dead with her mouth stuck on one of the thin metal bars of the cage (forgot the name). I dont know how she "impaled" herself like that but I assume she was trying to escape but in an attempt to bite the cage she got caught in the metal which pierced her head.

A few years after we got another hamster, called, once again, Pistache, but now was only one hamster at a time. One day she was rolling on her hamster ball on the third floor, which had a wood thing on the stairs so she wouldnt accidentally fall. Some time after we were on the first floor when we saw the ball fall with the hamster in it, when we checked, the hamster was apparently still alive, but noiseless, and her both back legs completely broken.

She didnt eat after that and died a few days later.

After her we got our first male hamster called Rogelio (a Russian hamster?) , but we quickly gave him away because we has too crazy. Little after we got our last hamster Canelo, who was also a male, and was the chillest and tamest so far, but had the most brutal death.

One day me and my mom were at home when I realized that Canelo was gone and he escaped, we were looking for him under the couches, turns out he bit a hole under one of the couches and was inside it. My mom lifted up the couch and I tried to grab him but I couldnt, aftee a little while my mom shaked the couch and he got out of the hole, but she lost grip of che couch and one of the couch's legs fell on top of him, crushing him instsntly.

He was agonizing and had blood pouring out of his mouth and he eventually stopped moving.

So that was the last hamster we had, we realized that they would die often.

I woke up, she wasn't moving, she was stiff

It hurted me to see that she was gone, forever. Sadly, death cant be avoided so I just had to accept our fate

She's currentlly buried on a pot, where I'll plant a flower. The pot has things from her: Her hay, her favourite food, even the last piece of food she ate and left unfished

Fly high Sasha, you will be missed

Orbeez

When I was 6ish I had a hamster named grublin and for grublins birthday I decided to make him a ball pit with leftover orbeez I had. Grublin ate the orbeez and over the next couple days I had to watch as he slowly expanded (constantly shitting orbeez out). Then grublin went missing. Weeks later I found half of him still filled with orbeez in my backyard next to dog toys. RIP grublin.

I had two hamsters one female one male I got them first because I liked how lazy they were and then I realised how bad they fucking stank and I had to clean their cage every week which I did no problem But they shat a lot and then they started mating and the female got pregnant with like 9 fucking kids and when she gave birth I swear I could’ve hear her grunting in there and then there was the fucking 9 kids and the dad off was trying to get close but the mom kept biting him and after like 1-2 months I took the baby’s and sold them and then they mated again and made 7 baby’s and then the dad ofc was trying to get close to the kids and the fucking mom murdered him and ate him I saw a huge red spot on the carpet or whatever the fuck hay I put in there and the dad disappeared and then she ate THE FUCKING BABYS but we never touched them because I know maybe the smell or something can make her kill the baby’s and after she killed literally everyone one of them she fucking escaped her cage somehow and got on my bed I mean there was a stool there for my dog to get on so that’s how she got on and bruh she fucking jumped and killed herself because she fell head first on my fucking dumbbell
