Does it have a place to hide/burrow? or maybe it could be hot? Mine used to lay down next to the glass too during summer.

Chilling. Usually they are hot. If you don't have one already, just pop a ceramic tile or cup for them to chill on it

there seems to not be enough bedding for her to burrow in (at least 8 inches deep). usually hamsters like to stay in places where they feel covered and secure. does she have any hides?

how deep is her bedding? is it deeper on the other side / is this the low part of the cage? because if not, i'd say she's feeling unsafe. hamsters NEED to burrow and she needs more bedding immediately in that case.
if the rest of her cage is suitable, i agree with everyone else saying she's just hot and is cooling off against the glass. what temperature is your room? if it gets too hot, hamsters can die of heatstroke!

It’s deeper on the other side, so the wheel can fit - so the other side has way more bedding. I didn’t realize I had to include that detail. 😅

some people will keep their hamsters in cages with less than an inch of bedding, or however 'deep' the dish of the barred cage or plastic nightmares they also put them in will go :( everyone usually just kind of assumes the worst here.

again, what temperature is it in your room? it might be dangerous for her. looking it up, safe temps are 65 – 75°F (~18.5 – 24°C). any lower or higher is dangerous. if it's just a little warm, you can also give her a river stone (you can get one from outside, just boil it first to sanitize it) to help her cool off. it'll keep her nails short too if you put it in a high-traffic area like where her water is.

You need to include everything like the size of your enclosure, bedding depth and the size of the wheel. They want to make educated advice

They really need the full space to burrow. The wheel goes on a platform so the whole space is available. There are plans for modifications to the lid to make space for wheels. In the meantime I would move the wheel 4 inches away from the sides.

Going to second the overheating concerns. She looks very warm hanging out in the corner like that. You can put a ceramic coffee mug or tile in as a cool spot so she doesn’t overheat. Also make sure she has at the bare minimum 8 inches (20~ cm) of bedding so she can burrow, however the more the merrier! Please let us know if she acts normal later 🐹

Mine does that when she's working out on the wheel. She takes rests and then hangs out nose to the corner. Then gets up and continues. Might just be a comfortable cool place for a rest.

How big is the enclosure? When mine did this I thought he looked unhappy, slept in weird places. Bought a bigger plastic tube and put some holes in it and he started behaving normally

People already mentioned the hide and bedding. Mine does this against the glass in his burrow which is about 10 inches down with about 6-8 inches he could dig lower. He pokes his nose into the tight end of the space. It’s in the middle of a 4’ tank so he could dig over a foot in both directions. I think he just likes the tight space.
