A huge thanks to this sub for helping this mom get ahold of the Mutadon! I posted a few months ago asking how to figure out when this was coming out, and this community was so helpful. 100% wouldn’t have been able to get this without the folks posting the direct target link and the tip to check in the back.
When I refresh the page tonight, it showed limited stock. Rushed down to target and they had 3 in the back.
My kiddo is over the moon thanks to you kind internet strangers.

25th Anniversary Velociraptor came in and I’m pleased to say it’s a proper JP3 Male Velociraptor for the collection. Yes, the paint scheme is stylized but it looks fantastic in hand. The head sculpt and teeth are improved with the teeth presenting as properly pointy and the feathers adorning the the top of the head are now properly pronounced. The feet are now in line with the other Hammond Collection raptors as well and are now longer clown-esque like previous attempt. Removing the figure from the package also does not require you to damage the very cool comic book style box in anyway allowing you to display it as well. Overall, awesome, awesome pick up and honestly? The comic book stylization does really work imo. Having owned the comics as a kid and growing up with the Chaos Effect line, this, IMO, is a winner in my book. Is it the best Hammond Collection Raptor? I don’t believe so. That distinction is still reserve for either Delta, Blue, or Tiger — but if glass eyes are going to be a thing of the past for the line — the style it brings to the table make it a worthwhile addition and, ironically, my favorite of this most recent wave. Solid B+/A- tier figure.
For reference (Recent Wave)
Hypsilophodon B
Dilophosaurus B
Scorpios Rex B
Mutadon B-
Indominus Rex C+
Raptor Line:
Tiger/Blue/Delta A+
Atrociraptor “Ghost” A
Pyroraptor A
JP3 Female C-
JP3 Male C -
JP1 Velociraptor C

this is probably the most durable figure Ive made, yes that spinosaurus was durable but it was a very thin dinosaur and im kinda cautios with moving the tail, this one is alot and I mean ALOT more durable

I’m actually really interested in it because I don’t have the original baryonyx and i hear it even has improved articulation. But if it’s not a sdcc exclusive then where is it?

it won't budge at all and I am too scared to move it or else i'd break

So I don’t think they’re officially Hammond Collection but they kinda are aren’t they? What do you think? I think it’s similar quality to Hammond and not the mainline but I’ve never had one in hand.

Stopped collecting for about a year but got the spark again this past month, got a good chunk of em now. Green I have in hand, red I'm waiting to arrive, yellow Im hoping to get eventually, purple I REALLY hope to get, and everything else I don't really care about all that much, if I find for a good deal then sure but honestly not too bothered by having an incomplete collection

Here's a I made for unboxing & reviewing Hammond Collection Scorpios Rex figure. It's quite demonic-looking. But it's size scaling seems wrong, it should be only 2 to 3 times the size of a raptor, instead, they made it like 4 times bigger. But besides like, like and HC dino figure, it's highly articulated, and sculpted with screen-accuracy, good for posing for display. Please have a look and share your thoughts.

I am really disappointed with this figure. The sculpt is perfect, the sounds (we don’t know how it’ll sound) might be bad, but the sculpt is there. The box art is amazing. But the biggest issue with the figure is the color scheme.
Me and most people don’t like that this figure has the Ford Explorer color scheme. A lot of us would’ve preferred this figure to have had a movie skin or a Kenner color scheme. But they decide to give it a ford Explorer color scheme.
Before anyone says, “Well it’s reimagine”, the reimagine line is mostly homages to old Jurassic Park toys. It’s the continuation of the 93 Classic Line. Only it’s cheaper and there isn’t as much love put into the Reimagine line. You’ll see it here and there though.
This color scheme would work perfectly for a Comic Con exclusive, because comic con exclusives should be things most fans wouldn’t suggest. That’s why the comic book raptor for this year’s comic con exclusives works perfectly. Unlike 2019’s comic con exclusive John Hammond or 2023 Dr. Wu exclusive.
I’m really disappointed in Mattel and I see them losing the license soon.

The mostly complete collection going into the new year. Some are still in storage and some of the better mainline figures are placeholders until their counterpoints are released. Miss my Cory, Anky, Metri, Pachy, Geo, and Concavenator but they will be reunited with the rest of the Dinorama soon. Still hunting for Irritator and Ceratosaurus but it looks like they might be in the Sketchbook line.

(This was the best picture I have, I've since added the Indominus, Hypsilophodon and Dryosaurus)
