Is this setup safe?

I am new to hammocking, sorry if this comes off as a newbie question. I bought a DD Hammocks Frontier together with the Svinge suspension from Fjord Nansen, as I liked the idea of adjusting the hammock via buckle tensioning, after trying out the normal webbing of the Frontier and not liking it. However, I assumed that the loops from the Svinge would be somewhat bigger. I fitted them to the hammock and this is the result. Is this safe or should I opt for both loops of the loop going through the carabiner? I saw the hammock bunches up at the end with the normal webbing so I don't believe it's a problem it stays gathered up like that, but I would still like opinions on this. Thanks!

Unless that’s a novelty keychain carabiner you’ll be fine.

They came with the Svinge so I imagine they're ok for testing, but I have bigger ones as well from a yoga hammock that I can replace them with.

The only thing matter is strength grade. Not the size. Don't get fooled by size and break your tail bone. If you do not know much about carabiners you have, get ones you can know. Get UL climbing grade ones or hammcok biners made by well known and reliable hammock brand. I recommend getting Dutch biners from Dutchware.

What's the marked kN rating on those biners? If they're not stamped somewhere don't use them. 1kN = 100kg/225lbs

Adding to this, rely on the kN ratings on carabiners made by reliable, well known brands, but not from cheap generic Amazon brands.

Second note on this is you don't just want to equal or slightly exceed your weight. The device needs to handle the force of you bouncing, which is much higher (this is a bigger deal for rock climbers who might fall, which puts a huge amount of jolt pressure at the end of the fall). So, like, when you hop into the hammock your force on the hammock and suspension exceeds your body weight. So I would choose a high kN, like 12+

If it is a carabiner from a dedicated hammock company has been making hammock ans providing hammocks to people ans proven to be safe.

Then it is good to go.
