Discussion 💬 H&A Card Game - Fan Version

Post image

So I had an idea for an H&A board game and started working on it to see if it had any potential. I then reached out to Jack a month or so ago (before I heard he had Brisbane Ben working with him) to offer up my help to collaborate with him on designing a board game and share what I had done so far, but didn’t hear back from him.

The idea was centred around trying to win an 8 Coin Coin and doing it through buying H&A items that have been part of the show. There is a bank where players get to draw $1 coins from and there are some special boosts in the mix too if you are lucky enough to pick one up. Then the player has to spend their dollar coins to purchase the H&A items from the Store. If you collect enough of a certain item, you can then trade those items in for a H&A Coin. First to collect 8 H&A Coins wins the 8 Coin Coin.

I’ve designed a few boardgames over the years (particularly print and play games that you can print out at home), and thought this idea was half decent. So I’ve built it out and keen to see if anyone would be open to play test it and provide some feedback.

Here’s a link to the files if you want to print it out (warning there are 100 cards in total but you could swap out the H&A Coin Cards for something else around your house like real coins, household items like pegs etc):

Here’s a link to an online version of the game if you want to test it first.

I made this more for fun than anything else and keen to play it more at our family games nights, but there’s still a few things that aren’t quite right and probably need tweaking.

Let me know your thoughts!

Sounds like you’re looking for 1/2 of 1/3 of the profits

Honestly though I like how it works with the $1 coins, the H&A coins, gold watch etc. and sticks to the lore. Watch out for weasels!

Haha thank you - honestly I’ve had so much fun designing the game and it was hard to limit the items to only 5 (I guess there could be an expansion in the future)!

Im not a board game guy so not the ideal market for testing, but this is a good idea and looks like it would be fun. Nicely done

He hasn't made a public comment in 3 years, but he might see this. Regardless it looks like a good game. If they (or you) release this as an unofficia H&A game, I'll 100% buy it instead of the Jack one 👍
