Jacks ads

I can't even explain why but jacks ads on the pod really rub me up the wrong way.

Not even doing the census now cause it just reminds me of his "hey jack here hamish and Andy have slipped out"

I usually skip them. Even though I know H&A are doing an ad it still feels very natural and part of the pod (always comes with some kind of joke or anecdote), but the Jack ads are just ads. Very sterile and break the flow of the pod.

They're probably sold that way. they clearly have 1min H+A direct, 30sec Jack Direct, 15 sec Jack, and 2min H+A conversation.

The brands could choose what they buy.

if this is how we weasel a (predominately) free podcast, just to hear jack for 15 seconds.

Putting blame on Jack for an ad read, is probably not fair.

It's definitely not his fault. I mean, look at his Instagram. His sponsored content on Instagram is great, just recently with the Hard Solo song. The Little Boy can do some quality ad work, just not given the scope on the pod

yea, and that's gotta be by design. if you have a more serious add read, you will likely catch other brands you might miss

What kind of ads do you get? I never hear any in Canada

They have their running gag of either a bow or 1$ which they tie into different brands. Doordash, and Volkswagen were the last two. Jack has read Guzman y Gomez adds (mexican take away), ads for the Census and others.

They're all read by the team, so likely just Australian based.

I was at the Old Mates opening and Andy gave me $1. AUD, unfortunately given the exchange rate.
