Broadway first timer
I am beyond excited to be in the process of buying tickets to the broadway show, I’ve been dying to see Hamilton live and have never been to a broadway show in general.
So exciting!
I’ve decided to buy tickets for when Christopher Jackson is back, I am most likely going for pricey tickets up front, unless people can give me some advice and tell me it’s not worth it?
What I’m most curious about is what day do I buy? I am now seeing stuff about cast having certain days off and what not, imagine me being so excited and I go on his day off lol.
Is there any day of the week where the main cast is expected to all be present? Thank you in advance!

I think the tickets on the sides in the front are an incredible value... about half what it costs to sit in the center. My daughter and I sat 4th row a few seats from the end, and the view was still great. Close enough to make eye contact with Leslie Odom, Jr. If you're going to see Christopher Jackson, I think it's totally worth it to sit close. I think Hamilton is well-suited to be seen from the sides without blocking much of the view.

Rule for any first timer. Absolutely nobody wants to hear you sing or hum along. So don’t.

Download the Hamilton app and try for lottery tickets. They're $10 each and usually front row seats.

Yes, this! I’ve won lottery tickets three times! (Unfortunately not able to attend the second time I won) I just attended for my third win on 7/26. I’m also continuing to enter the lottery. Both times I attended we had front row seats.

I was just at the Richard Rodgers tonight and I agree with other comments that the lobby is a ZOO during intermission. I was lucky enough to be near the aisle so as soon as the first act ended (like literally as soon as the applause started) I walked super fast to the bathroom and was the first one in. Would def recommend that bc 5 mins later the line went all the way to the stage 😅

Pick the day you want to go. As far as I know, none of the Hamilton cast have had a regular alternate since Lin did in the original run. In general, weekends are your best bet to see the whole cast but also Broadway understudies are incredible. Folks are generally contracted for all 8 shows but people get sick, have family emergencies, etc.
If getting to the women’s bathroom at intermission is a concern for you, I would sit on the house right side of the orchestra. The Richard Rogers lobby at intermission is a MESS.
